I love this theatre. My only complaint is that they hardly have any restrooms. There is 1 set of women/mens bathrooms downstairs and the line is always across the building during intermission. I dont know how people got back to their seats in time for the show to come back. I had to go back to my seat because I didnt want to chance missing the show when it came back. The guy pouring drinks by the downstairs merchandise was really friendly. He even said we could put our name and order in before the show started and they would have the drinks ready during intermission so we didnt have to wait in line!

We see the Nutcracker annually at the Ohio Theater. Ballet Met always does a beautiful job with the production. Unfortunately, several times in the past few years, people sitting around us behave as if they are attending an OSU football game and not a ballet. The Ohio Theater encourages this by allowing people to be seated during the show and selling snacks that can be brought in and eaten - noisy candy wrappers and symphonic music dont blend well. This year is likely the last time we attend the Nutcracker in Columbus.

A really great venue for seeing the Broadway Across America shows. The detail of the lobby, ceiling, and walls is beautiful. One complaint is that the seats are a little snug, so plan on getting comfortable with your neighbors during the show. If you can get an aisle seat or a seat at the front of a section, thats your best bet for comfort. I also recommend parking in the State House garage.

Very nice old theater in Columbus. It has a very cool atmosphere to it inside and out. The seating is pretty ample for the date of construction. We saw the Nutcracker here at Christmas time and enjoyed it. I also liked the variation of beverages that they sold as they offered beer and wine. It is worth checking out at least once, especially if you are into older architecture like that.

Have been to Ohio Theatre for many a performance. Its an excellent venue with many affordable shows that would fit right in amongst the bigger cities. The Symphony is on the rise, and there is something for everyone to be found amongst the seasons offerings. For the college students, check out the College Club promotion. Probably the best deal in town.

This theatre is a gem. Great seats and historic ambience. Hard to imagine it as an old movie theatre when you think about current movie options. The pipe organ is one of a kind and the organist is a very talented individual. Take the summer tour, it is an excellent program and lets you really take in the beauty of the theatre without the crowds.

Nice, old fashioned, historic theater in downtown Columbus. They always have shows available, and the seats are pretty comfortable. I saw the sound of music here and was impressed with the theater. The bathrooms however are limited, and in the lower level. I recommend to use them before or after intermission or youll be waiting in line for awhile.

There really isnt a bad seat in the house. They serve snacks like bottled water, soda, and candy bars. They also serve alcoholic beverages but I didnt notice the selections available. Good lighting and sound on stage. Some shows can be pricey but its more unique than just going to a motiong picture theater for something you can rent in a month.

Been going here for the CAPA summer movie series sporadically for a couple of years. The theater is absolutely gorgeous, and the movie series is one of the highlights of the summer. Parking is available in the area on the street and there is a reasonable pay lot less than a block away. Highly recommend checking out a performance here.

Heather had brought me here to watch a show, I fell in love as soon as I seen the outside and it got even better as I walked in. The place was so big and beautiful. The play was very good too, the lady really made it interesting for me and Heather. Heather was loved the sow too, as she hadnt seen that one yet. Great Times !

Very nice theater with almost all seats having good views. Ive been to it a couple of times for musicals and orchestras. Sat towards the back on the floor for the orchestra and the sound was very good. The musicals have been second deck and provided decent elevated views and good acoustics.

Hard to mess up a theater! Easy to find seats and pleasant staff. No problems getting my tickets from the box office. I would only recommend that if you do go, try to be there with enough time to find your parking without rushing. It gets pretty busy in the area on weekends.

Saw Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddess here. My first time going to any type of symphony and I had an absolute blast. The theater is well-kept and the staff was professional and courteous. I would definitely go here again if an event presented itself.

Beautiful building and fun experience which was ruined by the manager who was yelling at us as we were GIVING away our spare 2 tickets we had to a mother and daughter who were walking up. He continued yelling at us to move further away from the building.

Good lord, if you ever get a chance to go here and see a silent film, do it. Otherwise, just go for the architecture. Worth the price of admission for that alone. In the summer/fall months, they do free tours as well. Sign up on their website!

One of the most beautiful historic buildings in Columbus, and they have wonderful entertainment with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and movies. Come here and have your breath taken away. Be sure to seat up high too. Just gorgeous.

I was there when we saved the theater from the wrecking ball and I still go to most of the Summer Movie Series productions as well as other CAPA performances. The theater and its elevated Morton silent film era organ are must sees.

Ive been going to the Ohio Theater since I was a kid, so to me every visit is nostalgic for all of the shows, summer movies, and concerts I have been a part of for so many years. The place is gorgeous and Ive never seen a bad show.

One of the most stunning theaters in North America. The Ohio Theater was saved from demolition in the mid 20th century and features some incredible ornate details and fixtures. The history, the sounds, and the shows cant be beat.

If you like classical music this is where the Columbus Symphony plays. Ive had the chance to come here at least three times and its always a night to remember. The beautiful ornate architecture is simply breathtaking.

Beautiful theater. Check out the summer movie nights for an inexpensive way to check it out. They had a live organist play during a silent film and it was quite a unique experience. Felt like it was the 1920s.

The crown jewel of theatre, BalletMet, Opera Columbus, Columbus Symphony, and a host of other concerts and artists! Truly an irreplaceable venue... I never cease to be amazed at the architecture and elegance...

A beautiful space in which to enjoy live performances. be sure to look up and around during intermission. Exit the theater via the front exits to the left of the stage in order to enjoy Columbus commons.
