NC Escape is so much fun! I did the Ex Machina room with 5 of my friends and it was awesome! There were a ton of interactive puzzles, some of which had really cool technology behind them (but no spoilers!). The puzzles require you to really think and work together with your team, but if you ever really truly get stuck then the operators give great hints. The Ex Machina theme was particularly cool. It was steampunk, but also very mysterious. Overall, I highly recommend NC Escape! The games are engaging and the employees are incredibly friendly. NC Escape may be new, but I think they have a bright future as a staple of downtown Durham!

Ive been to two different escape rooms and I thought this one was a little bare probably because they just opened. We did the Gallery and thought it was a little too easy for a big group but also too linear. The other escape rooms Ive been to had higher stakes to the games as well as more puzzles in the rooms. Dont get me wrong, there were some clever puzzles in the room that I hadnt seen used in other places but theres definitely some room for improvement.

Friendly staff, who explained the games well, and a super fun time. This was my first escape room experience, and I will definitely be back to try out the other two rooms here. If you like puzzles, want to bond with some friends, or just want to try something different, this would be a great choice to spend an hour or so :)

Had an awesome experience at NC Escapes opening day! Ive done a bunch of escape rooms in different cities, but this one really stood out with its variety of electronic puzzles and the intricacies of the game design. Great atmosphere and staff too. Extremely unique and incredibly fun!

We had so much fun at NC Escape. This was our first time doing an escape room and we chose The Study. Our group completed it in and had a great time doing it. The puzzles were challenging but not overwhelming. I cant wait to try other escape rooms.

The atmosphere was friendly and inviting. My family and I and 2 strangers really enjoyed our adventure and were able to escape the room we did. We will definitely go back to do the other 2 rooms.
