I booked this tour for myself and my children expecting to be in an open jeep with the ability for my children to see horses. When we arrived, we were put in the third row of a chevy Tahoe. When I asked about riding in the open as other members of the tour were riding in, I was told I could just get my money back if I didnt like it. My kids could not even see out the windows. I had to ride with two of my children on my lap so they could see. When we did see the horses, I had to lift my kids over the back seat to share the one seat left near the window. I booked this tour because it gives the money back to the horses and helps with the horse fund. However, I regret it because it was not even close to the experience we had hoped for. My kids were bored sitting in the back seat of a vehicle. If you book this tour, just make sure you do not get treated as we did. I wish Id have booked with somewhere else!

We had an amazing experience on our tour. It was well worth the money - you will NOT miss it! I promise. Seeing the wild horses of Corolla has been on our "bucket list" for years, and on this tour we were able to see at least twenty. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and the horses, and stopped the vehicle for us several times so we could get out and take photos up close of the horses. They arent scared of people or vehicles at all (but you cant get within 50 ft. of them or youll receive a citation). We spent two hours riding on the 4x4 only beach, taking photos of horses, learning about the herd, learning about the locals and their life...it was the crown jewel of our trip and an experience that well never forget. I highly recommend this tour, not just for the knowledge and experience offered, but also because unlike other horse tour companies, ALL proceeds go benefit the horses directly.

Wife and I went here for part of our honeymoon. She enjoyed it even though she isnt into horses. Tour guide was awesome, and made us all laugh. The tour itself was almost more fun than when we saw the horses. He was knowledgeable and I could tell he loved his job, and the horses. Wife and I had fun, purchased some merchandise, and became a member. This is the only true wild horse nonprofit in the area. I love these guys and will be returning when I can. Highly recommend you go here and support these guys. The tour is a blast.

All I can say is for an old fart in a wheelchair from St Louis Missouri I was amazed I could even get in the place when I pulled up. Not only did I get in but I got the VIP treatment and I cant imagine a better experience. Renee helped me so much I felt like a king. Thank you all, thank you all for making supporting such a wonderful cause such a pleasant experience! #SAVETHEHORSES

Es war eine sehr schöne Tour. Es lohnt sich sehr. Wir haben die Wildpferde gesehen und Corova. Corova ist nur mit Allrad über den Strand zu erreichen ...wirklich ein Abenteuer

The two hour tour was truly a Lifetime Experience for my family - not just a tag line. Our driver was very knowledgeable local who made sure we saw plenty and could appreciate the history. Each staff member was truly serving the interests of the horses. Please use this service, not a commercial operation.

This tour was amazing! Bill was our guide and he was knowledgeable, made sure we were all enjoying the tour and truly cares about the horses. Go on this tour- you wont regret it. Dont do the other ones- they are not doing anything to help the horses. Support the nonprofit who is making their lives better.

A neat shop and likely a great place to go see the horses. The museum was not necessarily a destination if you arent going to tour with them, but it was ok....more of a waiting place for your tour, rather than a place to take your family/kids on a rainy day :-) :-)

I was walking in the beach, and saw a horse just standing alone, but her baby was laying down. It was mothers day, and she wanted to get off the beach before it got got. The baby was like just 5 more minutes mom! I know they are such a sight to see! Dont miss out!

Small shop. This is where you may purchase tickets to ride on the beach in the hopes of seeing wild horses. Across the street is a very cool, small schoolhouse that is back in use today from years ago. A couple minute walk to the lighthouse and Whalebone Club.

Went there to ask a question and the lady behind the counter was so rude I walked out without even going to see the horses. Worst attitude I have ever encountered from someone at a business. Complete waste of my time to drive over an hour for nothing.

We went there to see wild Spanish mustang. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed very much this experience. I learned a lot about these horses and took awesome pictures !!! I would recommend it and I am ready to go back...

It was a very unique experience. We chose to do the tour with this organization because the funds go back to the upkeep and preservation of the wild horses. The tour can be a little boring for little kids 4 and under. Enjoy the adventure!

This is THE tour. All profits go to the care of the wild horses. Experts take you into the field as they do their census and patrols. Good 4 wheel equipment. Bring the camera. You get up close and personal with the horses.

The tour is 2 hours. The tour guide is extremely knowledgeable, passionate about working with horses and funny. This is not just a tour, it is an unforgettable experience of history and wildlife. Well worth every penny.

This is such a good program. They are sincerely concerned about the wild horses well being and do a lot to educate people about them. If you go there, everything is free. And, you learn a lot about Corollas history! :)

An amazing tour where we saw over 30 horses. Fantastic guide. The organization itself is the only non-profit company providing tours in the Corolla area and actively works to protect the horses.

We had the best tour guide. The ride lasted a little over 2 hours and was well worth the price. It was so beautiful to see the horses just roaming around, especially on the beach! !

Non-profit helping to manage 1 of 2 wild horse preserves in NC. Very friendly tour guides and a great experience overall. Dont forget to stop by the lighthouse after the tour.

They offer tours to visit the wild horses on the island (~2hrs) and have a small gift shop. All proceeds go to helping the horses, so its a good cause. Well worth a visit.

Great place. Only place that is non profit for horses. You dont get to ride in those hummers but you get to go to more places and farther into the park.
