Have visited several times and can honestly say I love it more than going to our zoo in Syracuse. The animals are taken care of so well here. Theyre not confined in tiny cages like some are at the zoo. You dont find the animals in the park pacing like those in the zoo do. They also have animals the zoo doesnt have and seem like theyre always adding new animals to the park. The owners of the park are so nice and friendly. It makes it more of a personal experience that theyre out and about mingling with the public. They also have a petting zoo that the kids love. You can actually have an experience of holding one of the animals and having your picture taken for a small fee. For me personally, the only drawback I find is the bounce house. Once the kids see it that is all they want to do. When its a hot summer day the bounce house is extremely hot and "burns" them. Too hot for them to use, which makes for very upset grandchildren. Other than that, its a wonderful place to go for a wonderful experience to see wild, well cared for, happy animals! I would definitely recommend!

Its a great little park and it appears to be constantly worked on which is good for all. the cost was 9.00 and I thought that was reasonable. My husband and I went today and it is not a big place but a good place for kids. It is half paved and rocky terrain. There were plenty of portable bathrooms with hand washing stations. They had signs all over telling people to not do this or that and that was good but people dont pay attention like they should. I do think the larger animals need more entertainment they looked bored. The goats and deer were very food oriented. Most of the animals were alert and some were sleeping. We saw a mini tour going on with a park associate. I think some of the cages needed a little pick up but hard to do in the zoo during peak hours when people want to see the animals. we would go again had fun and took good pictures. All animals were labeled which was also helpful on what was in the cages.

Negative stars if at all possible. An exotic animal let alone any animal definitely does not want and does not need to be put in a ridiculously small cage and bothered and poked at by humans all day- yeah I understand these animals are beautiful and its a good learning experience, but if its that important to you to invade these animals lives, go to their native country where they were taken from and see them in the WILD or simply google them. I dont care if its a zoo, park, or some other sort of amusement facility- if these animals are not in their homeland and FREE, nobody should support these facilities. If you really care about animals you would understand that this is just simply not the place for them, especially when someone is just sitting back in their executive chair counting money.

This is a lovely spot to go to where the many animals seem well taken care of, happy and healthy, with decent sized, naturally feeling enclosures. Plenty of opportunity to feed many different kinds of animals (at a relatively low cost), including a high platform to encounter and feed giraffes face to face. If animals have to live in a zoo, this is a small and nice one. I was disappointed to see signs suggesting people not donate money to animal welfare organizations such as PETA or The Humane Society since those organizations do good work for the welfare of animals who dont have the benefit of human caretakers. Otherwise its an easy 2-3 hour activity for anyone. Quite enjoyable.

Very cool private zoo. It is very clean and well maintained with lots of interesting animals. They have several species of big cats, including lions, tigers, a leopard, snow leopards, and soon cheetahs. They have black and grizzly bears, alligators, and a slew of other animals. They also have petting zoo aspects, where you can feed goats, giraffes, zebras and other animals and get up close to them. My kids liked the parakeet enclosure best. You can buy a feed stick, them go in and feed the birds, which will fly over to you and land on you. We did that three times. A little expensive in comparison to the Rosamond Gifford zoo, but well worth it.

My family and i enjoy this place. However the staff are rude and reckless. While we visited we had 2 friendly staff and the reast were rude. There were 2 staff screaming about parking as we pulled in one of which made me load back up my 3 kids who are all in carseats cause he did not like where the other staff put us. Then once we got in there staffing must hate to walk cause they all drive around reckless on a gulf cart one of which came around a corner like a race car driver and almost hit my one year old that was walking with me.

We had such a great day here! Our son loved seeing and being able to get so close to so many of the animals! Its an easy park to walk through and be able to see and enjoy everything, even with a 2 yr old and less than enthusiastic husband lol. He.was happy its not "just another zoo" as the animals seemed happy and well taken care of. Feedings are awesome to watch!! Bring cash along to hand feed animals if you want to experiemce that (highly suggest this for kids, our son loved feeding carrots to the giraffes!)

I am not sure how this place received so many 5star reviews??? There were very few shaded areas along the path. The animals had very little shade. The black bears had very little fresh water. Trash cans and food stands were few and far between. The bounce area consisted of 5 aired up play structures that were extremely hot from the sun. My 7 year old twin girls were bored out of their minds. The entire event cost $77.00, lasted 3hrs, and in my honest opinion it was over priced by $47.00.

Great place to spend the day with your kids. The Exhibits were awesome and very clean and safe! All the animals were full of personality and friendly. We had the opportunity to hear the apes vocalizations that could be heard throughout the park which caught alot of attention. The giraffes were a big hit with my 2yr. old daughter as well as the baby Joey red kangaroo. Also the canary house was a hit, its an experience like youve never seen. Will definitely be back again before summer ends.

Place was absolutely amazing! How anyone can give this place a lower rating is just mind boggling. This place is amazing, the guy who runs it walks Around greeting people. The staff Are friendly and generous...the prices are dirt cheap! 1.25 for soda and waters, three dollars for ice cream!!! You wont find those prices anywhere this cheap! Lastly the animals are beautiful and active. I have been to Local zoos and never can see some of the animals....these animals are amazing and active.

Absolutely beautiful animal park, animals are all beautiful well kept , clean and happy and well loved. My daughter and i had a great time. Will be back for future visits, i was amazed that such a wonderful place was so close to home. While reading some reviews i am appalled at the neg comments cause i havent seen such things to be true...however i have seen some local large zoos with aweful living quarters and improper care, but this place is most certainly not one of those places.
