The venue itself is nice and could be a great spot if the owners had any respect at ALL for its clientele... I have been there on several occasions, maybe Im a glutton for abuse, or maybe its because once in a blue moon youll actually get a show. For the most part though, and this is speaking purely for hip hop shows, (as Ive heard other types of shows go over better) this venue is the ABSOLUTE WORST. I cannot emphasize this enough. The artists tend to come on around 2AM or after, and the last few times Ive been there they perform for 10-15 minutes. They do not advertise these shows as appearances, nor do they give you any indication of the wait that you are in store for. They also have ridiculous dress code policies especially considering these are hip hop shows. (No hats, no hoodies, no boots, collared shirts for guys and heals for women). Ive gone there in the dead of winter with a zip up fleece on and was asked to check it in, meanwhile they have an outdoor area but you cant have your jacket. If you are a friend of the owner or pay for VIP you can wear whatever you want. I was asked by security to remove my zip up fleece while security simultaneously shook someone else hand wearing a hoodie, hat and Timbs and let him right through. I was given a heads up prior to one show that the artist was not contracted to go on until 2AM-3AM. This information was given to me by a friend who knows an employee there. When I called to speak with the venue to confirm this because it was on a Thurdsday and I had work the next day, I got a gentleman who said he was responsible for the contracts and that no one else knew that information. He told me the artist would be on by 11-11:30. Needless to say that was a lie. This "venue" is an excellent front for what it really is...maybe one of the bottle girls can tell you more about that though.

Im so angry about the events of tonight that Im not even sure where to start! My friends(2 girls and 1 guy) and I were outside smoking and hanging out talking. One friend got shoved really hard and was upset so she ran to her boyfriend to complain about what had happened to her. Her boyfriend was trying to understand what was going on and some how the security guard totally flipped what was going on grabbed my friend told him "walk with me" my friend asked what was going on at which point he was thrown out the door! When I confronted the bouncer and asked what that was all about he said "I asked him to calm down and he didnt" I told him that was a complete lie as I stood right next to my friend when he had his conversation with his girlfriend and then with the bouncer. If I hadnt been so concerned about my friend and his safety for the night I would have demanded a manager!! Im not sure what the bouncer thought he heard but my friend was neither drink nor fighting or resisting anyone! I cannot even believe the events of what happened tonight and I feel that perhaps people more experienced should be handling the duties of the bouncers not some young guy who "thought" he heard an argument and decided to get involved!! I will not return to this establishment nor do I recommend it to anyone. That was poor handling on that bouncers part and he should have apologized.

Maybe it depends the artist that will be appearing... I went to this place to see an up and coming rap artist and let me tell you this was the wildest place Ive ever been to. There were like 7 fights, 4 of which turned into Brawls !!!! It took about 7 guards to break it up after like 5 minutes of each brawl. The last fight a girl got jumped, and when her friends came to the rescue they got outnumbered too. The second to last fight was a guy hitting a girl who afterwards just kneeled in the middle of the floor and threw her life up. Most people there were between 18 and 21, couldnt handle their liquor, as soon as I walked in a girl started flirting with me. It was a mess, beware if you go wear boots and a hoodie just in case you get dragged into something.

Absolutely ridiculous. Went there for Halloween, which is also my sisters birthday. They screwed up the reservation. Tried to charge us for 2 bottles after we were told we had a birthday package. Had 2 credit cards turned off for fraudulent charges. Thank god! After waiting over an hour(with no drinks) we left. Called the next day to fix my credit card only to find out that instead of the $275 that was supposed to be charged they tried to charge me $570. Shady operating. Money hungry and misleading. I will NEVER go there again.

Paid for a table, the waitress avoided us for almost all of the night. When I could get her attention she gave nothing but attitude. We ordered a bottle of champagne around 1:30 and they threw out our entire bottle at 2:30 because we were out on the dance floor and no one was at the table. Then when i tried to find her to tell her no one had any of the champagne they threw out she had already left. Terribly disappointed wouldnt recommend it

Dirty. You can just tell right when youre outside waiting at the light at the front door. Friend asked me to go and I took one for the team and went. This place attracts a lot of fights. Theres an outside patio area that 123 people seem to take up all the spaces of seating per couch. The indoor area is big butt very young crowd, Id say about 18 years to 25 years. Sloppy filthy drunk people all over this place I will not be back

The emporium is a great venue for concerts. We especially love 80s night :) The space is huge and you dont feel like youre stuffed inside bumping into people. Parking is a bit of a beast and just a heads up to watch your cash. Both my husband and I had separate situations there where we felt the bartender took a little extra from the money being left on the bar. Sounds like this happens often...

Went on a Saturday night dance party, got in free cause I was in a birthday guests list. 16oz aluminum bottles were a legit price, the music, sounds system and effects were top of the line. Had a great time other then the bartender on dance floor bar didnt know his prices and charged more then upstairs bar.

I dont hate this place, I actually love this place. I just wish they would stop the smoking inside of the club. I am allergic to smoke so it makes me have to leave early when I dont want to go. Its really a fun place with a great staff. Getting rid of the smoking would make this a 5 star club.

$100 PER TICKET FOR GAME DINNER & DRINKS. TICKETS SAID 3PM BUT WOULD NOT LET ANYONE IN TIL 3:30. 40 MINUTES TO GET A BEER AT BAR, UNDERSTAFFED. COULDNT TRY 5 YES 5 ITEMS BECAUSE THEY RAN OUT. VERY EXPENSIVE SHITTY EXPERIENCE, WONT RECOMMEND OR GO BACK. 2 THUMBS DOWN
