LISTEN TO THIS!!! BOUGHT 3 BEERS HERE RIGHT BEFORE CLOSING AT 1:59AM. AT 2AM LIGHTS CAME ON AND DEMANDED EVERYONE LEAVE. THEY WOULD NOT LET US OPEN OUR BEERS (SINCE BARTENDER FAILED TO OPEN THEM) THEN THEY DEMANDED WE LEAVE WITHOUT OUR BEERS. THEY RESTOCKED THE BEERS AND WOULD NOT REFUND ME MY MONEY FOR THE BEERS THAT WHERE PURCHASED FROM THEM THEN TAKEN AWAY FROM ME. TALKED WITH PETER THE SECURITY MANAGER AND HE TOLD ME TO F OFF AND SUCKS TO BE YOU! TOLD ME HE DOESNT REALLY CARE ABOUT MY SITUATION BECAUSE I AM NEVER COMING BACK. ON THE ENDING NOTE PETER TOLD ME IF I REALLY GIVE A F HAVE MY LAWYER CALL THEIRS. BUT I KNOW OUR LAWYERS ARE BETTER THAN ANYTHING I COULD AFFORD! WOW TOTALLY RUINED MY TRIP TO BURLINGTON SADLY. WHAT A BAD NOTE TO LEAVE ON! BOUGHT BEER AT 1:59AM ONLY TO HAVE IT RIPPED OUT OF MY HANDS AT 2:00AM UNOPENED AND RESTOCKED TO SELL TO OTHER PEOPLE. TERRIBLE BUSINESS ETHICS!

Yo Absolutely Disgusted With The Staff At Red Square Tonight, On A Week Night Especially. Tried To Go In For A Drink On A Thursday Night .. The Fat Ass So Called Bouncers At The Door Checked My I.d and Told Me That I Wasnt Allowed Inside The Bar Becuz I Had Been "Banned" By The Owner And That My Name Had Been Added To A List Of Rejects Not Allowed Inside The Bar. .. Ive Been To This Establishment A Total Of Maybe 5 Times And Have Never Been Banned, Kicked Out or Rejected From This Place In The Past Before . The Environment On This Thursday Night Was Slow And Had Maybe A Total Of 8 People Visibly Inside. What A Poor Excuse For A Bar, Especially To "Ban" Patrons For Wanting To Spend Money In Their Establishment. Such A Shame And Will Spread The Word On This Matter And What A Horrible Rotten Way To Treat Paying Customers!!!! Shame On Yall!!

It was one of the first nice evenings of the summer and after a long day of work I was very excited to meet up with some coworkers on Church Street and be able to bring my dog for a drink! We tried out a few places that have outdoor seating, but very quickly decided to leave (thats for another review). Red Square wasnt the first choice (heck, I hadnt been there since college) in fact, it was my last. However, my mind was changed very quickly. Ive even gone back since! The staff absolutely went out of their way to make sure my dog had water (one bouncer even refreshed her water). I cant see myself going anywhere else on a nice night when I want to go to Church Street, have a drink, and bring my dog! I highly recommend bringing your dog to the Red Square patio, too.

I came here with a group of friends for new years eve. We didnt realize how big this place was until we got inside and moved around a bit! There were different sections which was cool. there was a club section playing rave music, there was the bar section which had a small dance area playing normal club style music, there was a seating area, and a few different bathroom areas which was good because the place was pretty packed. There was also an outdoor covered seating area which was nice to go and cool down after all that dancing. We received good service considering it was new years eve.

The bartender was fantastic, however the "security" and by security I mean the small brained, not endowed, scum that works the door, decided that our group, of 12 men were "too loud" for their empty, ugly bar. There were literally 4 other people willing to spend money at their establishment, at that time, but we were "too loud." The bartender literally begged the manager to let us stay - and he decided they dont need our money or patronage. Guess what? your place sucks and were going to let the world know about it!

Havent been here recently but I think not much has changed. I dont agree with all the negative reviews. This may be the only main stream club in Vermont and not a horrible one at that. This place is best enjoyed by those who stay fit, dress mainstream and dont believe in monogamy. If thats you, youll like it here and youll know how to deal with the arrogance associated with mainstream clubs. Their outdoor live bands can be enjoyed by all!

5 dollar cover for what? Also security cut my wife off from drinking she only had one drink at the bar and at that time 3 drinks total. Clearly the security guard cant tell who has had enough and who hasnt since there was a couple on the dance floor just about having sex and stumbling. I did however speak with the security guards boss and he did give my wife and sister in-law a free drink.Only reason why I am giving 2 stars.

I work professionally in the hospitality industry, have done so for a long time, and know the "ins and outs" well. Would like to say this location gets my worst experience of the year award so far. Not only were there issues to be had with the hourly staff, but even the manager failed to address my concern, and was rude about it to boot. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Ive been to some of the most upscale and popular clubs in lots of big cities. Orlando, Philadelphia, Atlantic City, D.C., Manhattan of course...and Ive never had so much fun. If youre looking for a place to let go and have a GREAT time...go here. If you run in the stuck-up, velvet rope kind of crowd...dont go...youll just ruin it for the rest of us!

As a DJ thats often spinning at Red Square twice a week, I really appreciate the friendly staff and rich culture of music. Red Square is one of the few venues in town who are open 7 nights a week during the summer, spring, and fall seasons. They are known for their quality in entertainment and diversity in music. Its always gonna be a good time!

Extremely rude staff and bouncers and overpriced drinks. They like to charge a $5 cover at the door. I asked if there was a cover, they said yes. I turned away and the bouncers made fun of me and my company, calling us "cheap and poor". I will never go to this place again and will tell anyone I know to stay away. STAY AWAY!

I went to school in the VT area and my friends and I always went to Red Square for a good time on the weekends. The drinks are reasonably priced and the music is always great. We had fun on the dance floor and its definitely the best bar in all of Church St. If youre in the Burlington area, this is the place to go to.

This place is a joke. My wife and I were in there having a drink at the bar when 2 bouncers asked us to leave. They could not give us a reason. They just said we had to leave. The ONLY thing that we can think of is my wife had moved a candle that was on the bar. Absolutely ridiculous. We will NEVER go back there.

Red Square is a great place to grab a drink and enjoy some great music. With great drinks, good people and the best staff downtown Red Square is the place to be. 3 bars different bars multiple dance floors, 2 Djs from 11-2am and live music before. The best place hands down to get a drink in Burlington.
