This is a county park that is out of my childhood . . . I used to come here as a kid with family and friends for days of picnicing and running around and having fun. As I recall we used to come here early in the morning, setup a BBQ and my family and friends would do breakfast and coffee on the grill and play all sorts of games and we would climb on the big rocks . . . . just as my kids now enjoy doing. We would have lunch / dinner and then head home after a long day. Fast forward about 40 years, and now my family and I are periodically attending neighborhood reunions being held here and not much has changed, and I guess that is for the good. You still have the pavilions here, and big climbable (glacial era), rocks to climb on and thats great - but the rocks have broken glass all around and my kids have to be a lot more careful than I had to be as a kid, and now it is only Westchester County residents that can come here (although the reunion allowed us entry), but even with the County pass, parking is $10. It is nice to come back and visit and reminisce, and Id love to come back with my kids and friends, but have to wait for the next reunion sadly.

My visit here was very nice. There were two wedding photos being taken by the castle and a lot of people in general. My only concern about this park is that when you first come towards the bridge theres a sign that says something about the park being for the people who live there. Like a gated community and you need proof of residency to get in. Luckily, there werent any guards at the toll bridge so me & my Fiance went through. I have a feeling that when summer comes they follow those rules which really sucks because its a wonderful park with a tiny beach, playgrounds, picnic areas and a yacht club. I bike rided from Parkchester, Bronx.

This is the lowest I can rate this park. The park is very dirty and the fields are covered in Goose pellets, the park people could try and make an effort and keep them clean. Also other park visitors are very rude, a woman cursed at me for walking my dog and keeping my distance from her part of the park site. I would not recommend this park to anyone especially for parents with children.

Great location to seat and relax, and to get away from the madness for a while. This location was my to go place during many hard days in life, and when all I needed was some nature to surround me. Even if it is not what it used to be, for it will remain a great location for thoughts. If it is a Thursday evening, on a summer/fall/spring in NY, you may see me there on the bench.

The park is filled with racist people who give you the dirty-look. My family and I were walking down the park, as numerous people (predominantly white) were gawking at us for being a minority. The landscape however is beautiful. Relaxing scenery to shed your everyday stress. Judging from the environment at the park, one can infer, that the town is filled with racist bigots.

Nice, Clean, and safe (no overly loud music or riff Raff) the park has a beautiful waterside view. Plenty of field space allows for various activities. However, You MUST pay for parking and a re-entry fee if you leave and decide to come back (no exceptions). Also the activity play ground sets (swings slides etc...) Are limited. Best bet to bring your own entertainment.

Muy bonito lugar tranquilo, pero lo malo es que hay que pagar parqueo y la entrada a la playa cada persona tienes que pagar niños y adultos 10 y 5 dollares

Great view of sound Glen Island very beautiful. Lots of wild geese. You need to be careful where you are stepping or you will step on geese crap all over the place. There are sections that you can rent for special occasions. There is also a pier where you can launch your boat. It also has a small beach area that is clean.

Very nice beach and clean areas to take your family to. Not crowded, park is HUGe and there is plenty of space to bring people. BBQ areas must be reserved. $5 with the Westchester Pass, $10 if you bring any other ID from the local city. Cant get in without a pass, so get one. Its valid for 3 years

Such a pretty park. What I hate though is only Westchester residents are allowed to park there at the park. So that means I have to park somewhere extremely far, hope to not get a ticket and walk to the park when all I want to do is relax. Its worth but way to much work.

A. Philip Randolph Campus High School has hosted our Senior Prom here at the Glen Island Harbour Club for at least the last six years. I host a lot of events and their event staff are some of the best we have worked with. The scenery is jaw dropping as well.

Very pleasant place that has a gorgeous view. If someone is stressed out from his/her home or work this is a perfect environment to take a deep breath to have some fresh air and relax. Great place to spend time with family and freinds (pic/bq ).

Great Park and place to visit for a walk. Its about a 1.5 mile walk around the whole island on the outer path. A better job could be done by guests of the park to keep it clean, but the park does a great job of cleaning up, even after a storm.

Nice... but I wouldnt know .. the beach is private and the people i went with.. kinda boring.. id go again for the beach only.. Not only did we just look at the beach, the picnic grounds dont leave much to do. Again I was with a lame group.

This is a gorgeous place to sit and watch the world go by or to take a nice walk. If you enter during the off-season the parking is free. My work has a "retreat" at the Glen Island Harbour Club once a year, and it is spectacular.

Great park I am here often. Have spent time here jogging working out. Weddings and my church has its annual coom out here as well. Its a great place for me to relax and use it as an outdoor office.

Its pretty scenery but the beach sand is hard u definitely need to wear pool shoes. Three of the children I had with me got cut on their feet in the water. So I didnt like the beach at all.

Cool park with a castle. The parking fee of $10 was a little expensive. There are picnic tables and grills. There is also a snack bar and small beach area (additional entrance fee).

Nice park 5 dollars for parking for Westchester resident. Grass was filled with bird poop every where big chunks.. That took 2 stars away. Would go back if the clean the grass.
