OK, so I went to the US Open in 2006 to watch the pros play the course, which was great, but until I recently played the course myself I couldnt relate to the full experience of Winged Foot. The mounted golf club just inside the front door made by Old Tom Brown and gifted to Winged Foot by the Royal and Ancient members sets the stage for a golfing experience to remember. Even if, like me, youre the member of your foursome responsible for laughs rather than birdies, basking in this kind of golfing lore and playing conditions is wonderful on many levels. That the "golfers" in my foursome won the tournament helped too...Salud to Winged Foot!

Well what can be said. If you get a invite to play here, take it. One of the iconic golf clubs. 2 - 18 hole courses with the West being the well known and longest one. The east though is shorter and as wonderful. An enjoyable world class club. Make sure you wear shoes, and no hats in the clubhouse.

Was a former employee here. Not a place Id recommend working at. Great place if youre a creme de la creme member, but not a place to think of having a career at. Extremely high turnover rate here. This is a CYA at all cost location.

What is there to say about WFGC except - First Class. Everyone and everything from course to the caddies, to the pro shop exceeded expectations of one of the games legendary clubs.
