If you want to see a show in a medium-sized standing-room-only loud and crowded concert venue, The Haunt is Ithacas place for that. If they have a band you want to see, youll go, and itll hopefully be fun. The bar is efficient and friendly, there are a few good local beers on tap, but the rest are mostly national brands, they have some liquor & mixed drinks, and they will make you some fried appetizers, too. Drinks are served in glass, which always surprises me but it helps to give a bit of a grown-up atmosphere elevated above plastic cups. They have a nice deck on the water to escape for a bit. The sound, when Ive been there, has been a bit shrill and very muddy, which they try to make up for by turning up the volume to eleven. Everything else seemed clean and nice, including the bathrooms. Parking is a random mess, but if youre driving then just be calm and patient and deal with it; itll be fine. If you want to walk there, look up the Waterfront Trail. Its on that.

Looked up reviews and their menu online everything looked okay so I decided to try it. When I got there the place was completely dead I asked the waitress if they were serving dinner and she said yes. I had a seat at the bar and she brought me a menu that had all the prices crossed out. The selection I was going to get that I found online was not on the menu. They explained that the place had opened again under new management and their menu is completely different basically just pub food sandwiches and burgers and wings. The food was okay for barfood but was kind of greasy and I was very disappointed that I couldnt get the items I had picked out ahead of time online. I would not recommend this place. Its more of a drinks and music place that a restaurant.

The Haunt is ghastly, no pun intended. This bar/restaurant cant decide if its a sleezy pit or a crooked unstable riverside halfway house. Its abhorrent atmosphere and despicable employees embellish the general awfulness that presides within those decrepit walls. My friends and I had a virulent experience there tonight and we will not be returning. This short post is to deter you from going to this horrid place. This bar ended our night abruptly and will leave us shocked and awed for several days. Our short uncomfortable time there ended in an unwarranted unimaginable confrontation with a quite unreasonable employee. Please dont go there.

One of the best live music venues in upstate New York that is also home to one of the best BBQ chefs in the region The Haunt has just gotten a new owner and undergone an extensive renovation. Lush red walls covered in press pictures of past bands who have performed there over the past 50+ years The Haunt has been around create a great relaxed atmosphere for drinks, great BBQ and some of the best live shows from some of the biggest national acts and local favorites. A great place to spend an evening with friends catching some of the best live music & BBQ around. Highly recommend it!!

Its not the fanciest place (by no means is it trashy), but its a very comfortable place. Lots of events here (Im not fond of the loud music concerts and always turn around or leave when they are underway). But Im happy with the mix drinks , the liquor selection and the prices. The remodeling in late 2007 really helped brighten the place up a bit. The wings are good and twice as much during their half off special on Tuesdays, especially the garlic hot sauce wings. When Im in the mood to go to a bar, The Haunt is always my first choice.

Remind me not to ever go anywhere with that person who thought the Haunt was "ghastly". I personally love this place, the food is fine, the service is fine, the atmosphere is sufficiently funky, the crowd is cool (sometimes downright odd, but thats why you hang out in a bar, isnt it?) and the deck is awesome in the summer, even if the inlet gets a mite funky (not how inlets should be, but not their fault!) Great spot!

I have never had the food..but went to the bar once a week for about 8 months. Poor service, the bartenders hate to wait on people.the atmosphere is poor.bouncers can be jackasses for no reason. I choose not to go there anymore I d rather spend my money someplace else.oh and the acoustics there are pretty bad..youd figure some place that wants to be a music venue would work on that

All I have to say is ....The Haunt and Razorback BBQ Rocks! Everyone must try their food and the bartenders/drinks are awesome! You can hear all genres of music here. Friday happy hours are great for everyone with the wide variety of music/people.

Such a great venue! It is cozy which makes shows seem very intimate. Very chill vibe. The only issue I have is the lack of parking, but thats not a huge deal. I would go to basically any show here.

Id never been to a freak show before the one here and it was a night to remember. Been to several shows aside from that one and its always been an amazing time.

Small venue which isnt bad expect the ventilation is non-existent and when the room is crowded its way too warm. The deck is a nice little place though
