Ate here twice while at the shore last week, once for lunch and also for dinner. Six of us went for dinner and no one was disappointed! I was unsure of how the shellfish chowder would be as I dont like "fishy" tasting chowders but wished I had ordered a bowl instead of a cup; delicious, not fishy!! Our party ordered braised short ribs, crab cakes, crab and tomato stack, pork carnitas, and the seafood festival. The seafood festival truly may have been one of the best pasta/seafood dishes Ive ever had. Just wish theyd included a piece or two of crusty bread to soak up the delicious juices. The food was delicious, drinks tasty, and desserts better than homemade. Liked the changes in menu from the past two years. Many former menu choices remain however the menu is larger with more variety. Great options for lunch or dinner. For lunch we had the fish of the day and also the Hull Burger; award winning and we could see why! The restaurant has expanded in size with open decking on both 96th and 97th Streets. With the decking and new flooring, it seems much larger and brighter. Cant wait to get back again later this summer to try some other menu choices. If you enjoy a great place to eat at the shore, you dont want to miss with this place right in the middle of Stone Harbor, NJ

My husband and I had a poke one time and decided to give this place a shot. The hostess sat us in a place we asked for. We were waiting for about 15 minutes. I started turning my head hoping someone will come and take our drinks at the very least. We were hungry an I know food can take time to be prepared sometimes. Workers were walking around in to a back room that I assumed is a storage. The hostess was on her phone, she didnt even tried to take our drinks. I have connections in the shore business and I know sometimes workers can be interchangeable when its busy, but the place was empty expect a table right next to us. No one even bothered to come to us. This was the first place out of two restaurants from Stone harbor that refused to service us appropriately. I hope its not because we are a same sex couple. Upon leaving and going down the stairs I heard a sarcastic "Oh no!" that i know it is assosiated with us behind my back. This is absolutely unacceptable responce and I will not tolerate such unprofessional behavior if that was my business.

I was so excited about this place because its right in downtown SH, is open air, and has a liquor license - three great advantages in stone harbor. We intended to eat dinner but it was our first time there and we wanted to check things out - so we started with apps at the bar -- and that was the end of our visit. The spinach dip was watery and tasteless and the conch fritters also had very little flavor - just tasted like fried bread. Honestly the spinach dip was just nasty, and its stunning that theyd serve it like that. Im not a gourmet cook but my spinach dip is a thousand times better. The barmaid and hostesses were so extremely nice so we kind of felt bad leaving - but there was no way we were going to chance dinner. Such a shame bc the place has nice decor and a perfect location. Since its their first season ill give them another shot next summer if they stay open. The place has so much potential so Im crossing my fingers.

Seems like a new place in Stone Harbor that we decided to try. The decor is welcoming. The hostess was courteous and made a table for us. The calamari was great. I ordered their award winning burger. To me, it was average. With all the different toppings, I felt it didnt have much taste. I didnt think the pickled red onions meshed well with this burger. My girlfriend ordered the soup of the day and said it was great. Overall the place was decent and the service was excellent. Its worth checking out for dinner.

Great location pulled us in, poor service drove us out. It was not busy but we left after 25 minutes of zero service, and-the hostess made a rude comment to us as we left, while she played on her phone and chatted with another employee. It was kinda eerie, the poor service. We have connections to shore businesses and are quite patient and open minded when things are jamming or there is a circumstance but today there was NO excuse...

Great bar here. We went a few times for drinks at the end of the day during our weeklong vacation, and all of the bartenders were very friendly and happy to give us recommendations and chat with us. They have a healthy selection of craft beers for reasonable prices, as well as interesting cocktails if youre looking for something fancier. Theres also a pool table thats often free and great for passing the time while enjoying your drinks.

The Spanish people that work there are not even acknowledged for there work and effort. They replace the Spanish people like they change their socks! I think its funny how its mostly ..majority all white people that work there...... they are biased when it comes to highering. They higher people they know and they dont give people a fair chance.

Very good fish sandwich. Poke was sent back but handled professionally and very good service. Swapped poke for a salad. Waiter even tried the Poke and agreed it wasnt right. Good IPA on draft. Cool place.

The food and drinks were pretty good and our waitress was friendly. However, we stayed after dinner at the bar and the bartender wasnt as pleasant. Wed still come back though because of the atmosphere.
