Have been going there since the Dog Run was open about ten years ago. They probably need to get additional benches especially in small dog area. Maybe get some awnings over seating in case of rain or snow. Needs a working water fountain (year round). It would be great to see more agility equipment to get dogs to exercise. Limit children without dogs to enter when there are many dogs and dog owners. There is a playground for children in the park, as well as fields and track that people can us.

Big beautiful trees keep the dog runs cool and shaded in the hot summer sun, awesome agility stations and super nice benches all over dog run. Nice water and trash stations. Only drawback is that if you have a dog that wants to chase their ball far, the dog park is only medium sized and cant accommodate a long throw or lots of running. Nice that there is a small and big dog side, to differentiate.

One of the best parts of New Jersey. My wife & spent many hours walking the paths here & stayed in shape. Even when we stopped at Holsteins before heading home. Every visit is like visiting the time when the world was a wonderful place to be alive. All seasons it is like a break, from our crazy busy lives. Make time to see it & enjoy it. Sadly my dog passed away, but this park is pretty big. I see quite a few people hee and the dogs seen to love it. Actually I think they should review it but I dont think "bark bark" would explain it well. The area always seems pretty clean with most owners cleaning up better than the muscle heads at my gym who can bench 200 but cant pick up a towel.

This park is a nice balance between not being too big and not being too small to partake in various activities for a wide range of people. A dog park for both small and dogs is a prominent feature. It is part of the Lenape Trail, an Essex county "park to park" network. It is generally wheelchair accessible and features great amounts of open space..

Always clean. Families of all walks of live and stages are out here with a common goal. To enjoy the park, love the outdoors, and enjoy each other. The people here are proud of their park and actively clean up after it. I havent even seen a cigarette bud on the ground. The parks and receive staff are nice and polite as well too.

Fantastic park w/ something for everyone..swings, jungle gym, jogging, dog park, rose garden, soccer...its just amazing. Wish the pond was still there..must be gone 20yrs or so..great for ice skating..but mustve been hard to upkeep. Always..a beautiful experience at Brookdale Park.

Great park. Decent walking paths, the larger of which is 1.5m and a fitness course dots the outer loop. Lots of fields and open spaces and you can always find a place thats away from other people if you want to picnic etc. Plenty of tennis courts and a nice running track.

Great park to go for a walk, play tennis, enjoy a rose garden, rollerblade or bike around. There are usually activities happening on weekends on the playing fields and it is well taken care of. I usually swing through on my bike and do a lap because it is so enjoyable.

Nice dog park, it has a big dog area and a small dog area. Good size play areas with obstacles for dogs to play on. The waste bags arent always stocked so you may want to bring bags. Alot of dogs come here and most owners are responsible with thier pets.

One of my favorite parks in the vicinity of Clifton. My only gripe is that they used to have exercise stations along the running paths which have basically disintegrated over the years. If they could replace them, this park would be absolutely perfect.

Great dog park that separates the small dogs and the little dogs. Water fountains for the dogs along with benches for the owners. If youre Doug gets dirty, there are areas to house him down. Theres even a time out area for an unruly dog. Lol

Pet owners: Please be responsible enough to obey the weight limit for the small dog park. We took our min pins there this afternoon, and they were pummeled by a pit that was easily 50 pounds. Respect the rules- they are posted for a reason!

This dog park has a small dog and big dog area which is really great. But people bring their big dogs into the small dog area sometimes which causes problems. Other than that this place is a great park to give your dog some exercise.

In a beautiful park, large separate spaces for small and large dogs, plenty of parking (A little away from dog park). The only thing I dont like is that its very dusty here and my dog always needs a bath when we get home.

Beautiful, clean park. Ive been to most in the area and I can say that the pet owners here are attentive and take action if need be. Most dogs are well behaved and if not, there is a time-out area for your unruly pup!

My dog isnt very social but she goes there anyway running around not knowing what to do with herself. All the other dogs looks to be having a blast. Im not a dog so Im not totally qualified to give a complete review.

Great dog park. Has two sections. One for small dogs. One for larger dogs. We have been bringing our dog here for the past 6 months. The dogs here are usually good and know how to play well with each other.

I love walking around the park. Its great for jogging, walking your dog, watching or playing sports at the fields, playing tennis, summer events, smelling the roses at the rose garden and many more.

Been to this dog park twice and both times there was a dog incident (biting) thank god it didnt involve my dog. But the park is self is very big and has a few course for the dog to play with

Went for the first time yesterday to the dog park and absolutely loved it! 5:30am trip there and absolutely loved it. Beautifully kept, plenty of space and poop bags to use. Also great hours!

The park has too many branches hanging perilously over the walking paths and one very dead tree adjacent to the Rose Garden diagonally across the road NE from the garden.

Awesome park designed by the same guy who made Central Park in NY. Good for running, just follow the white arrows from the lower parking lot area to the hill.
