My mother and I enjoyed learning more about Elvis and seeing his birth home. However, sadly, the facility is poorly run. My mother and I walked up to the house with our tour guide leisurely smoking a cigarette, and she asked us if "we were in a hurry" gesturing with her cigarette. We felt that it was very unprofessional and just simply uncooth. We continued the tour to the church. The older lady running the church attraction was in the back completing a word search, and her cell phone rang during the video, and she ANSWERED it. The staff were very unprofessional and had minimal knowledge of Elvis life. Elvis birth home was neat to see, but the staffs unprofessional behavior was undesirable and rude to the guests and disrespectful to Elvis existence. I hope they have a staff meeting soon.

OMG. Being there where Elvis was born was ssssssssssssssoooooooooo emotional. Seeing that tiny little house he lived in and heaing the stories of how poor the Presley family were. It was a fantastic tour, our guide took us to all the places Elvis used to go to, The hardware store where Elvis` mum bought his first guitar, Elvis having wanted a gun. johnnys drive in , a cafe Elvis went to I had my photo taken in the exact same seat Elvis sat in and there is a picture of Elvis sitting in that very seat, Fairgrounds, the place Elvis performed his charity concert, his schools. Going back there in August 2012, what an amazing experience it was, I will NEVER forget it, well worth a trip if you are visiting Memphis.

My husband called in an hour in advance to check on pricings and whether or not they had a card machine. They let him know that they did and even though they closed at 5pm we could still walk the grounds. Once we got there, they would only accept cash. They allowed us to walk through the gift shop which was quite large and had a hallway of facts. Id say they are milking his memory for the prices they were asking for some of their memorabilia. A small keychain was merely 15 dollars! Its a sad sight to see greed has overcome yet another landmark. It is a nice place to walk around. Due to the weather we werent able to walk around on the grounds but maybe next time we are on our way through we can see more.

On my recent road trip from Memphis, TN, to Columbus, MS, I didnt expect to stop here and pay a visit to Elviss hometown, but boy, am I glad I did. Seeing the home in which he was raised was a humbling experience; seeing his church was like going back in time. The museum of artifacts from his life was unlike anything else you will find anywhere. I am so glad I got a chance to see this place and will certainly come back. Whether youre a devout fan of the King or, like me, not as familiar with his life and times, you will appreciate what this place has to offer and who knows? You might even learn something new!

I came here back in October 1977 and again in August 2009. It remains a must see about the most iconic non-political person in American history. I enjoyed both trips, how-ever, I was disappointed that the home and the grounds have been groomed and landscapped. It was not that way for the struggling Presleys. I rather hope "they" put it back to "how it really was". Lost is the stark poverty that surrounded this family, and this area. When I first realized just how poor the Presleys were, it made the Elvis Presley story almost biblical.

It was nice seeing where and how Elvis grew up. There are many comments posted from friends and family of Elvis. A very relaxing and beautiful place to visit. Most of it is free. The museum is a bit pricy and really nothing that special in it for the price plus the lady running it at the time was not very friendly unlike the lady giving the tour of Elviss house she was very nice and informative. You get to see and experience what made Elvis not only a great musician but person as well.

Our family visited on a Satuday, mid-day. Very easy and enjoyable to take a quick walk around the attractions. Great grounds, laid out well, shady, a/c gift shop w/good restrooms. Did not take the guided tours, $17 each X five= too much, I would have paid $50 for my family and helped spread the story of Elvis. We did get to meet and talk to Guy Harris and that was VERY enjoyable.

I stopped by on my way through Tupelo a Im glad I got to experience where this legend was born. I grew up listening to Elvis and watching his movies with my mom. My mother wouldve been upset with me if she knew I was in Tupelo and didnt stop by to see this historical place. Long live the King.

Nos gusto ver el pueblo donde Elvis paso su infancia, se puede visitar el museo que hay y su casita. Tambien hay una zona de picnic.

This is the place to go if you are an Elvis fan. However, this year they have upgraded the visitor centre. The old one was an interesting group of small buildings, and the new one is like a concrete Disney building. Not good. Graceland itself is beautiful and very moving.

We enjoyed our stop for the day here. The people who work here a definitely Mississippi, hospitality is the word. Everything was wheelchair accessible and if you are an Elvis fan, this is a must stop. Thank ya, thank ya very much (insert goofy Elvis impersonation here)

I have been brought to this place for so many school field trips, I have lost count or care. However, for a town that loves their King, this place has been well taken care of and its a beautiful tribute to someone who had, and still has, such an influence on music.

Loved the experience. Great seeing his birth house and imagining him running around as a toddler. The church event was very cool. It made you feel like you was part of the congregation. It was a bit dissapointing not to be able to take pictures in the museum.

Be sure to read hours open..we arrived 90 min early but made the best of it strolling the grounds, nice views...clean and peaceful. Reasonable rate for 1 exhibit, his home, the tour guide in the home was funny and gave us a great outlook on the child Elvis.

Despite the weather we absolutely loved going here. Im from Australia so I dont get to see much about Elvis down there. Cant wait to see Graceland next week. Would definitely come back here again and visit. Hopefully the weather will be much kinder to us.
