My first visit to Nashville Tennessee my aunt and I decided to take the mansion tour. We arrived early and decided to look around the gift shop. The heavy set dark hair woman working the register clearly hates her job. I simply asked how I could get one of the food items located in glass case. She snapped at me and replies " UM I WALK OVER THERE AND GET IT FOR YOU" treating me like the question I asked was not worth her time or it was a stupid question. When my aunt asked about coffee which was clearly advertised this womans responce was "ITS A LIE WE DONT DO COFFEE IN THE SUMMER" we didnt know this ... We left the shop and went on to take our tour which was awesome. Everyone else was great and friendly but please avoid the gift shop if you take this tour. Our visit was on July 16th 2016

The Trails at Fontanel were a bit disappointing. The greenway is a typical paved greenway trail, but the natural trail is not. Most importantly its hard to find and has very poor, i.e. no markers. For first timers it is a challenge just knowing where to enter. The trail is poorly maintained however, kudos to all the pet owners who clean up after their dogs. With it being dog friendly, I expected to have to dodge landmines of dog poop, but I didnt encounter a single mound. The weeds growing around most of the benches on the trail arent cut back, so good luck fighting that. I am very sad to say that there was only one trail marker I saw. A tree had fallen across the trail and no effort has been made to cut back to clear the trail; and being on a down slope that is dangerous for bikers.

Beautiful day at Fontanel. Always look forward to sitting outside for brunch. A bit disappointed this time. Tables were grungy dirty as was the floor. Very slow service, not typical. The biggest disappointment however was the Fontanel Benedict I ordered. I guess Im old fashioned in wanting what I ordered off the menu to be what I get. The menu says prosciutto and I get country ham- not a great tasting substitute , ciabatta bread was extraordinarily hard, had to ask for appetizer bread, and typical things like salt and pepper. Seemed like they may be in transition.

This is not worth the price tag to go see. In addition, the staff are not friendly! The mansion is handicap accessible but not the van to go to the mansion. The lady at the store we bought the ticket from was so hateful when we were letting her know the van isnt handicap accessible. She kept saying "It IS!" No, it is not. We had to follow the van up to the mansion because that was the only way we could get my nephews wheel chair to the mansion to see it. The mansion is pretty, but outdated. The tour guide was nice, though. I just wouldnt recommend it at all.

Our tour guide Stephen was great. Im not sure how he did it but he remembered all our names throughout the guided tour. Everyone was extremely friendly and ready to answer all your questions. The home is beautiful and we were able to touch items, lay on the bed and strum guitars. Had a great time in Nashville, but our visit to the mansion was special.there was also a place to eat, gift shop and winery. Oh and a bourbon place..excellent. Good luck Steve with your dream.

My daughter and I just did this tour 7/18/2016. We had a blast. The whole crew was great and everything went smooth. The hiking is steep, but very manageable, even for a 47 year old man with a bad knee. They start you off on a very short line with good instructions. I like that they dont over instruct and treat everyone as an idiot. Our group got along great and everyone did very good. It is about two hours long and time flies by as we went through the 10 zips and hike.

Wonderful tour of Barbara Mandrels 33000 sq ft family log house. I was surprised at how homey this huge house felt. We were encouraged to sit on the furniture and play the music instruments. This tour was unique and our guide Otis gave us a personal view of what it was like to be a part of the "Mandrel" family. He also shared stories about stars who stayed at Fontanel. Otis was a perfect guide for our experience as well as a very talented singer.

The Inn at Fontanel is a 5 Star hotel with excellent service and a growing reputation as one of the finest hotels in the nation. It won one of Travelcitys awards recently receiving honors at Nashvilles best hotel - and there are hundreds in the city. Its also adjacent to the attractions on the related property including the Fontanel Mansion, Cafe Fontanella, Music City Zip Lines, and more. Enjoy!

Great everything really. The restaurant is tasty though service is a little slow. The paved walking trails are smooth and well maintained. The dirt trail around the back of the mansion is very well maintained and excellent. We have not done the zip lines but they look fun. The distillery offers free tastings and the staff is very nice. The winery offers tastings as well for a small fee.

I had no idea what I was going to but it turned out to be one of the best parts of my vacation. Our tour guide, Odiss Kohn was fantastic! Not only did he tell us all about the home but he serenaded us too! Its also one of the only tours Ive ever been on where you can make yourself at home, sit on the furniture, use any of the 13 bathrooms; it was awesome!

My wife and her friend and I visited the mansion on Nov. 5, 2014. We all enjoyed the tour with your guide Ben. He was friendly, offered a lot of interesting facts and wanted us to feel at home. Being a budding musician he even played a couple tunes on the piano. My wife felt this was the highlight of our Nashville visit

We did a wine tasting here while it was a little crowded and the lady giving us the wine tasting was quite pushy. She would try to pour drinks into our glass before we were done tasting the wine we were currently trying! And the wine was just okay.

If you are going to hear about Barbara Mandrell, dont go. They really do not even mention her. It was nice seeing the house and the tour guide Steven was great. Brochure said tours start at 9:00 but ours did not start until 10:00

I met some really great friends there that I now call family. I even found a long lost "real" cousin again...Jeffrey Lloyd. Steven and Vicki are my adopted siblings. Ppl are so friendly there.

We walked the trail at Fontanel and enjoyed it greatly. Its a good work out, not hard, and very much fun to see all the support from various dog product folks.
