The Mississippi Sandhill Crane Refuge is one of the most interesting and informative places on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. An excellent tour is offered which includes wooded areas, savannahs, bayous and if lucky, a glimpse of the magnificent Sandhill Cranes. The friendly and knowledgeable guides point out many points of interest and everyone walks away with a new and healthy respect and love of nature. The tour is free, but donations are gladly accepted. I highly recommend a visit to both locals and tourists. Mississippi at her finest!!!
