I almost dont want to review this park so that it stays quiet and the way it is. Stumbled across this treasure with the family. What a beautiful park. If you like the woods and the river, youll like Crosby. Named after a historical farm that once sat on the location, this park has picnic tables beneath a shelter, decent bathrooms, and a large fire pit. In addition, you can walk the paved trails (or dirt trails along the Mississippi River). Theres also biking trails (Mississippi River Trail system). We sat along the rivers sandy edge and watched worms (Army worms, perhaps) drop down on strands into the river and be gobbled up by fish. It was amusing. We met a fellow hiker and her dog and had some nice conversation with her. Its hard to believe, when youre in the park, that youre right next to St. Paul. It feels like youre in another, magical world. Theres a path along the river; one through the woods, and another that is a wetland trail. Your children will love this place. One word of advice: stay on the paths. As this is the Mississippi River flood plain, the woods are filled with wood nettle, a plant that will give you a stinging rash if you walk through it.

Absolutely love this park. Lots of trails and plenty of ways to get down by the water. My son loves to throw rocks in the water, so that is a big plus. Beautiful views and always kayakers or paddle boats cruising by to break it up. There are signs that tell the history of what was once a farm and has been returned to Prairie land by the picnic area. Bring bug spray because the marshy land can be quite thick with them.

Really cool park with lots of animals and nature! Very scenic. Paved sidewalks to walk and bike on. Many bikers come here but theyre usually polite about calling out as they come up on you ("Mind your right/left"). The wetland trails are neat and something Ive never seen before. Be sure to bring some bug spray since theres lots of mosquitoes floating around.

A perfect pocket of nature right in the middle of the city. Nice flat bike paths wind under a canopy of huge old trees. Stroll along the Mississippi on nice sandy beaches and look at birds at designated viewing areas and blinds back by the marshy lakes. A hidden gem.

This park has beautiful trails. It is very suitable for taking photos and just enjoying the scenery. Near the end of the trail next to the Mississippi River, you will see mosquitoes fly about, so I recommend you to hike in the early morning.

Amazing. You can hike the paved path or traverse the dirt paths along the river and the side of the bluff. Ample parking, picnic shelters and a huge covered fire circle. Dog friendly little gem in middle of the bustling city.

Fantastic huge old trees. Beautiful dirt trails to hike. Cool shelter with pic nic tables. Grab some sandwiches from Cecils, have a little pic nic and then go exploring in the woods.

Nice park with plenty of trails and a pier for fishing. The lake has a lot of milfoil so I wasnt sure if the fish was safe consumption.
