RBNC is a hidden gem in our region. There is so much to do there. Some days we pack a picnic lunch and go for a hike, other days we take our mountain bikes up and down the miles and miles of trails... we always see interesting wildlife (deer, snakes, turtles, birds, frogs, etc.) and the kids love to dig into nature in the the "Kids in the Wild" area. We could easily spend a full day there exploring the river, forest, and the prairie. Highly recommend!

This place is great. 2 of the 3 parking lots could use a little work. The staff are polite and helpful. Theres miles of trails here with a wide variety of scenery. A great place to bring the family. They hav numerous activities year round. The part I enjoyed the most what is the animal sanctuary behind main building. I would recommend coming here for all outdoor enthusiasts. Go check it out, but watch for potholes on the way in. Enjoy.

Thank you to River Bend Nature center for allowing dogs on your trails! So many nature centers dont! My dog and I came here today after getting eaten alive by horse flies and mosquitos at Canon River wilderness park. Only bugs we saw at River bend were beautiful butterflies and dragonflies. We will be back to finish all the trails!

We take our grandchildren here often. It is a wonderful adventure in all season. There are classes and activities for all ages too. We often pack a picnic and spend hours at this lovely spot.
