I was traveling though MN and saw a sign that said Oakwood Golf Course. I figured it would be a great way to stretch my legs and get a break from driving. I followed the signs and came to this little non descript building that resembled a small wood shed rather than a club house. I walked right on and was very surprised at the condition of the course. The faiways are well groomed and the greens were above parr. You have to manuver around the Oak trees but that added to the fun. If you get up that way, a round on this course is well worth the time and money. The staff were outstanding and the two young men that I played with made my round very enjoyable. Thanks Adam and Bryan. Thanks to the Oakwood golf course for helping me on my quest to play golf in every state.

This is a nice place and Id try it again if I was in the area. This evening service was slow. We were just snacking and ordered French Fries, it took 34 minutes for our order to arrive and the bill was slow in coming.

What a great place to enjoy an evening with friends!! Got to help with the 1st annual Smoakwood festival. Check it out next summer! Between now and then, just give the great food and staff a chance.

If your in Henning there are only a few places to go. Make sure to check this one out. Food until 10pm most nights. Call and they might hold the kitchen open.

Fun course. There are only 9 holes so you have to play them all twice for a full round.
