I went to Duo with my wife for dinner. They were out of the entree (ahi tuna) and the appetizer that I wanted. No big deal, it happens. I decided on the hamburger, at which point the waiter tells me that if I like red meat, I really should go for the steak (as he points to the most expense item on the menu. I ordered the hamburger, my wife ordered the white fish. The hamburger was a great disappointment. They had taken a frozen beef patty, as is, and threw it on the grill, put it on the bun and sent it out. No seasonings! It was still in the same frozen patty shape! My wife’s meal was also under seasoned. First time and last time at this restaurant. If you want a frozen patty hamburger, go to McDonald’s, it will probably taste better.

I have been to Duos twice and while my first visit went very well, the second visit went very wrong. I went to meet some colleagues for a farewell & after work drinks in May 2013. I ordered the calamari, which was overcooked and tasted like rubber. I ordered the cosmopolitan which was nothing more than water downed cranberry juice & vodka. To add insult to injury there was an 18% gratuity automatically added to my bill. Really? No one deserved a tip for the quality of the food that I was served on this day. This place has gone down really quickly in a short time. Next time I will suggest one of the restaurants in Birmingham for an after work meet & greet. Duo is off my list and I will be sure to let others know as well.

This place has amazing food... The best appetizers, YUM YUM Shrimp, and steak bites. The Zip Chicken Pasta for dinner was cooked to perfection and tons of flavor. My girlfriend had the Grilled Salmon, which was the freshest and best salmon we both ever had. Desserts are one of a kind too... Tiramisu and Ice cream cake topped of the night. Great drink selection... Wait staff was top notch and always there. The owner even came by our table and asked how everything was. Really nice guy... I think his name was Donny. Highly recommended

Had a surprise birthday party for my wife. Roughly 30 people arrived. Service, food and drinks were amazing! Great prices, great food, amazing hospitality! Servers were extremely welcoming and accommodating. Everyone said there food was delicious. our new favorite spot! Excellent place to kick back and relax. Well definitely be back! Garlic Parmesan wings could easily put B Dubs out of business. The BBQ and Buffalo wings were great as well. My wife and sister had the shrimp and they LOVED it! Enough of this review, just go already!

I went to DUO for my friends birthday party on Thursday. The atmosphere was nice but it took 1 hour before I received my food which was chicken bite and loaded fries...this was on the happy hour menu! The waitress kept telling me it would be out in 1 minute and it never came. I even saw here sit with the table behind me and have an drink and Im waiting for my food! NO WAY!!!! I had to take it home and the fries were HORRIBLE to reheat!

Great hangout spot on Thursday nights. Be prepared to pay $10 to valet as you have no choice. Food is not what its hyped up to be. Its terrible. Bunch of sauce no seasonings. Tastes like leftovers. Drink are moderately expensive

We had an AWESOME meal here tonight. The filet mignon melted in my mouth and everyone else in our party said the food was delicious. Great music, great ambiance and friendly service. We will definitely be back!

Got there@10:30 kitchen was closed ordered drinks took forever. Asked for a blue moon waitress comes back 15min later and tells me they were out of blue moon didnt ask if I wanted something else POOR SERVICE.

Hostess was more interested in her phone versus helping me determine if my party had arrived yet and/or had a reserved table... plus it is FREEZING in here!! Hopefully the Happy Hour will make up for it!!

We had a really good time cause it was Old School THURSDAY but we couldnt get a server to come to our table but when we did....it was on & poppin! The music was great was the best part for me.
