Me and my children (5,3,1) here once a week or so. I highly recommend having your kids ask any questions to the staff inside the nature center. These people are very knowledgeable and are eager to help. My son found a feather and asked what bird it was from. The woman who we asked took her time explaining and walked my children to a stuffed specimen and had them compare the feather. My five-year old was so happy and it made his day. The trails are nice and we always see lots of wildlife.

Wonderful place to relax. You can borrow one of several themed backpacks for learning about trees and plants, birdwatching, yoga, and so on. Their cozy gift shop has excellent books on plants and wild life as well as rocks and other great toys. Always different. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I have takens some of my favorite wild life photographs there!

This is a lovely preserve with a indoor nature center that has a huge assortment of taxidermy and live animals. They have a tree house on the grounds built by Master Tree Builders as seen on TV. A nice nature walk with fish stocked in the pond. They also did my grandsons birthday with live creatures. Great day and not far off the highway.

This is a nice trail system, especially considering how close it is to the city. There are many well-marked paths to choose from, and the water features and bridges make it interesting. There were a fair number of people walking the trails when I went, but because of the number of trails, it didnt feel particularly crowded.

Although it was about 10° F when I went, it was still a great time! I saw tons of bluebirds and even a red bellied woodpecker. The trails were well-kept, and the staff in the building were really nice. The building is insightful and fun for all ages. It was very clean and peaceful.

This place is very well organized with a adventure feel. The physicality is well maintained. My only complaint is the mosquitoes even if it has not rained for a while the mosquitoes always seem to be bad. Would definitely recommend just do not forget the bug spray.

For-Mar is a wonderful place to discover nature. The preserve is well maintained and the staff do a fantastic job of introducing chidren to the wonders of the world around them. My family and I visit the preserve every week and often help in the scheduled events.

Love it here. I grew up taking field trips. My dad got us lost when I was little but the have tons of maps on all the trails now. Great for kids and an awesome treehouse and butterfly garden. Butterflies actually climbed on us, even the 4 year old boy.

For-Mar has plant life with tags identifying Species and Genus. The deer are typically not afraid and it is hard to visit without seeing one. There are picnic tables near the parking lot so you can have a quick lunch, and talk a walk after.

Nice walking, good diversity of habitats. Broad region of grass and kept gardens. Nice pond with observation tower. My advice is to get out and walk the big loop, there are lots of cool things to see and this park utilizes its space well.

This is the perfect place to bring family of all ages to explore trails, treehouses, and gardens. They have a butterfly canopy, honey bees and tons more. We love it here. There is also a nature center for kids to learn about local wildlife.

Simply wonderful for everyone who wants a mini-vacation. The staff are great! Note that the store in the photo is my favorite bicycle pit stop on Irish Road, about four miles from the Potter Road exit from the Preserve.

A nice, tranquil place to go for a walk or just for observing nature. Beautiful during every season. The Nature Centers lost a lot of its features over the years, but the parks remained great.
