Well, Erebus upped the game this year. Not only do they have the longest haunt I have ever been through, it took us 41 minutes according to my stop watch. The overall theme of the attraction, time travel to various times and dimensions keeps you fully engaged in all there is to experience. I attend Erebus, like many other haunts, every other year so as to be able to experience more changes than if I went every year. This year they took out some of the old and brought in some new and frightfully delightful rooms. The introduction of a circus/sideshow themed room complete with a laser lit mirror maze to add to the confusion and a snake charmer that provided quite a scare. This scare is the location for the new high tech scare cameras which creates a three dimensional scare pic which can be purchased and then freely shared with friends via email. The actors this year did a great job of staying in character and kept the crowd moving forward so as to avoid any slow downs in the action. The makeup they use is airbrushed by an obviously talented artist. This type of makeup seems best suited to the darker environment of a haunt. Costuming was well chosen and, once again, I must say the actors performed quite effectively. On the lighter side of the attraction, they have added an electronic tally board to keep track of peed pants and chicken outs. It is complete with rotating lights, sound, and digital readout. They have one board at the entrance and one at the exit for all to see. One last observation. The selection of available merchandise greatly exceeds any other haunt I have visited in recent years. They have everything from the traditional t-shirts and hats, all the way up to shot glasses and decals. I have always recommended Erebus as a haunt season destination and I do so again. So if yo find yourself the time and money to experience this legendary haunt, you should do so, especially if it is the only haunted attraction you visit in any given year. Happy haunting my dear readers!!!!!!!! Grimdaddy

10/24/14. I liked it, did not LOVE it. I heard so much hype about this place to went with my fiance and two best friends. Well I have been looking into this place for a while and I thought it was going to be just the right amount of scary for me. It did have its moments. Other than that, you are rushed through the place where you keep catching up with people and then people behind you keep catching up with you. I didnt like seeing how the other people ahead of us were getting scared and being able to see what they already got scared by. I wish they could send people through every five minutes instead of being rushed. Things I liked 1. The swamp has some amazing effects. It really feels like your going through a real live swamp. If you dip your head under you really do look like your going under water. 2. The gorilla spots where you will just have to see what happens =) 3. The T REX was amazing! It looked so real like it really wanted to take a bite out of you! lol 4. Being buried alive. Now that was AMAZING. Things I did not like. 1. Well apparently as I said before, we were rushed and someone behind me that wasnt in my group kept grabbing me, it was another customer I know and not one of the actors, so I was highly annoyed about that. 2. There were no crushing walls this year and I saw on a video before that they had them and REALLY wanted to go through that part. 3. I was reading about things flying out and hitting you and stuff and I didnt get to experience that sadly. I never felt anything hit me in the face or chest or back or anything. 4. They didnt grab any of us or single any of us out and shove us into another room, that was a bummer! OVERALL This is a great place if you are younger and are more of a chicken. I am brave and it takes alot to scare me so yeah =/ Maybe one of these days I will find my match.

Never having been to this attraction before, my husband and I bought tickets for my son and his best friend as a surprise for his birthday. We attended on family night and it was not busy at all. Loved the interaction with Tabitha and his owner. Very creepy! I dont want to give anything away for those folks that have not been here but there are some things you really need to know before you attend. First of all - stay against the wall as much as you can. I was hit by a pneumatic arm that smashed my boob at around 25 mph. (yeah, yeah giggle all you want - it still hurts) Second - even though they claim to be a "no touch" haunted house - this is NOT the case. My sons best friend was grabbed by the shoulders and shaken by one of the actors. The other times we were touched were not deliberate actions...mostly occurring in passing or during a scare. Thirdly - The props used can and will hit you. My son was hit in the face and his glasses knocked off by a body propelled out of a coffin. I was poked in the eye by something moving above my head at one point. And finally - Its DARK. So dark it is hard to really appreciate the totality of hard work put into this place. Dark does not always equal scary. Total time spent from entry to exit was around 40 minutes. All in all this place was okay. We had more fun watching the kids experience their first haunted house. Would we go here again? Maybe, but I would NEVER pay more than we did for the family night tickets. Its just not worth it. FYI the hospital parking structure just one block away charged $2 for parking.

The doll girl actor did a very good job! It was mainly thrills instead of horror. I went with a group of friends who were middle eastern, black and Latino. This lady with a microphone who was not an actor but looked like an employee followed us during the whole experience and it felt uncomfortable. I asked if she normally follows people and she said that they go through the exhibits to make sure that the workers are doing a good job. I immediately thought why did she choose to do that when we were around because she has the ability to do that another time. Then I asked if she follows people for liability purposes (which other haunted houses do not do) and she said no and then asked me if I was a liability. She even stayed with us outside of the entrance until we left. A couple of the actors followed us out and she observed all of it. I honestly think she was concerned that colored of people were in the haunted house. Not sure what she thought we were going to do but her being there the whole time extremely impacted the experience in a negative way. If youre a person of color who is being followed and observed by an employee, I would highly advise you to leave the exhibit and demand a refund because there were obvious signs of discrimination. If you are a non-colored person who isnt being followed then I challenge you to contrast that my the experience me and my friends had.
