Tough course and ever since the city of Boston. Had taking it over the course has been getting better and better every year. Great for beginers because since it tough I think its the best public course. In the city of Boston and many others. Around the city. And Frankilin park is really great too. better course for beginers. Wide open 2 3rds of the course. And if u are a boston resident theres a discout for you. Check it out. MIKE MACNEIL1

Wow couldnt disagree more with the last review, if everyone else seems to be a jerk, then maybe consider the problem is you. Great course, everyone from the pro shop to Marshall to bar staff couldnt have been nicer. Being from Texas where most courses are flat and built for speedy rounds, Blind shots are what makes golf interesting for me. Buy a yardage book or a GPS app that shows whats over that hill and go have fun at this awesome muni.

Not expecting much from a city owned muni, I was stunned at what great shape this course was in. Other than 4 or 5 tee boxes that need a little work, the conditions are fantastic. Fairways are full and well maintened, greens are green, roll true and on the fast side. Course has some blind tee shots or second shots. Not terribly long but still a real challenge. And at $55 for 18 and a cart for city residents its a great bargain.

This course in 2010 has been well taken care of and is a superior design. Each hole has a different character and it is a challenging course from the blue tees. One of the best courses in the area and far superior to some of the Boston suburban private courses! The staff is a little unfriendly, but you only need to see them for one minute and then golf for 4 hours.

Fun course good shape. Was told it was a hard course to walk. My wife and (I one senior) found it no problem to walk just be sure to bring water none on course.we played at 630 am did have a refreshment cart come to us on the 18th hole so if u play early bring water.

I grew up in Hyde Park and on that golf course thats one of the best public golf courses in state of Massachusetts and its run by two top-notch guys Scott and Joe. And the head groundskeeper. Its a five-star golf course. I recommend you go play it .

Course is in good shape but theres blind shots on almost every hole with very little signage to help. On top of that, everyone I encountered who worked there were absolute jerks. Acted like they were doing me a favor letting me on their muni course.

Im lucky to live close to this excellent course. Its well-maintained, has a good variety of challenges, and is fun to play. The city has clearly been putting money into renovating the spectacular clubhouse and grounds.

Best municipal course in Boston. Classic Donald Ross design that tests your shotmaking ability. They did a lot of work on the course/clubhouse in 2016. Can get backed up on the weekend with rounds taking 5+ hours.

The course is in a great shape. I played there once and I look forward to playing again. Super friendly staff and accommodating. There are works underway at the club house which should make things even better.

The layout is really really good. The course was a bit beaten up and had been plugged two weeks before I played at the end of August. Still a good experience especially at the cost.
