Bird Park comes across as an oasis in the middle of busy Boston suburbia with 89 acres of beautiful rolling parkland. Walking the well-maintained paved and dirt paths brings you by open fields, grassy meadows, ponds and stone bridges. A playground and basketball courts and seasonal events like an ice cream social, movie nights and concerts helps make Bird Park an idyllic community gathering place. Its also ideal for cross country skiing in the winter. The Trustees of Reservations -- a nonprofit conservation organization that preserves land, nature, and historic places in Massachusetts -- is to be commended for maintaining and improving the land so well, and for bringing this once-declining park back into its innately picturesque glory. File this one under "Best of New England Town Parks!"

Highly impressed and fascinated by Francis William Bird Park. The scenery is incredible of just the greenery blanketing the entire park. In the greater Boston area, who can honestly find better? 89 acres of recreational area. Go for a long, relaxing hike, bring your family for a classic picnic, or just roam around the grasses and live. It is a great place for pictures, as there are many ducks in the marshlands there. Paths are spacious and large for the most part, and parking is never an issue. Highly recommended, especially in the Spring, Summer or Fall!

Very nice park with great walking paths and many open fields. Dog friendly and kid friendly. Has a nice playground for kids in park as well as basketball and tennis courts. Small stage in park sometimes hosts free local entertainment. Well maintained.

I grew up right next to this park. It was the source of more good times than I can possibly recount. It's beautiful. It's big. You can hang with your dog, friends, be by yourself...whatever. Thanks Mr. Bird!

A beautiful space with plenty of room to run. There are some trails to hike, and a nice playground for the kids. Parking is tight, but you can use the extra lot if you dont mind a little bit of a walk.
