Greenway Park is for the young, the old, groups of friends, the worker on break, families, dog owners and food lovers as well. This place is perfect. Starting from North End and ending right before Seaport, the park has some of the yummiest food trucks and food stands (Silk Road BBQ, Grilled Cheese- brie, gouda, etc, cupcakes). Each section has a different atmosphere as well. For example, there is a water fountain for kids, big open fields of grass for dogs to run around, sunny areas to lay in and tan, and shaded areas to sit and relax in a cool spot. Its a wonderful place to go to if you want to stroll around while taking in the beautiful views of Boston. Im really surprised as to why the review ratings are so low for this place. Post Office Square Park has a perfect 5 stars- yet its also the place where a group of middle aged guys asked my friends to smoke a fat J, outside, while they were eating lunch in broad daylight. Are you kidding me? No. Go to Greenway. Unless youre into getting high like a kite during your lunch break because youre going through a mid-life crisis. Start your way from North End, grab lunch from one of the food carts and take a seat. Enjoy it. I bet you your brie grilled cheese sandwich tastes better at Greenway than it does at Post Office. Use their free wi-fi, soak in the sun while you eat, let that food sit for a bit, then grab an overpriced cupcake like you owe yourself one. Lastly, indulge. Cupcake, Greenway. Indulge.

Didnt get to explore and relish it fully. But I did enjoy the current art installation near South Station and the edge of Chinatown. On 9/13/2017 the art installation was a big 3-D printer that made red roosters. One per customer, please, says the sign. I didnt get one, however, as it takes about 2.5 hours to print the rooster, and someone was already awaiting the finish-and-drop of a red rooster each time I went past.

It seems like there should be more fairs and festivals in this space. The water fountains and grass are nice, but I felt a little like the space is unprepared when it comes to hosting markets. They need to advertise more in order to be Haymarkets SOWA space (not that I want the food truck crowd stampeding over the greenery!) It be interesting to see the local businesses take advantage of this space more.

Came for the Boston Local Food Festival I thought there would be more free things...but Yelp was there and I got a bag! Wooo. Lots of great stands and friendly happy people working them, happy to show their goods. Too many items just for sale though--when theres a bunch of things that are similar you have to try before you buy! People need to learn how to Q though...My friend was almost knocked over!

A marvelous linear park running along the former route of the RT 93 expressway which is now buried below ground. The park has many interesting amenities like a sculpture garden, a farmers market, and spaces where high-end food trucks are often stopped. You can follow this from South Station all the way to the North End, practically to the Washington Street Bridge.

Among the greatest examples of highway infrastructure/space reutilization. It is impossible to walk along the greenway without imagining just how detrimental and underused such space was when the infrastructure lay bare above the surface. Great place for a stroll to take in the city views and the higher energy of Bostons downtown core.

Had an awesome time walking the greenway especially passing this yellow house installation by Artist Mark Reigelman. Photo credits to my girlfriend Steph Del Rio :)

Marker is at north end of greenway and is still under some construction. Look to the south east for the rest of the greenway to visit.
