Its Fenway! My toddler didnt love that our seats were in the 4 oclock sun, so we spent quite a bit of time running around underneath. Conveniently the family restrooms were also close to our right field Box 2 seats. It was a heat wave by Boston standards, but they had the fans misting water by the entrances to help cool off the fans. Consequently, the lines for soft serve ice cream were pretty long, but the concession stands took credit cards, and I was in the shade, so I didnt mind. The seats are tight, but the crowd was friendly, and everyone was understanding as we climbed over one another or passed money to the vendors. The ushers were helpful, and didnt mind too much as people bunched at entrances taking in the scenery. There are TVs under the main stands to keep you updated with the action, as well as historic logos, plaques with all the history, and even a life-size Green Monstah sitting on a bench for the fans to get a picture. Theyve got bricks with names, as well as hand prints with signatures of their most famous players (we were there for Nomar and Varitek). Theres an aisle that runs about halfway up from 1st base all the way around to the end of the 3rd base line stands. I highly recommend you taking a walk on it back and forth to get the experience, regardless of where your seats are. Absolutely worth the money for the experience. And the Red Sox didnt even win the game we saw.

I came back to visit Fenway after 26 years. Would it be just as I had remembered? As I walked toward the admission gate, I passed several bratwurst vendors. The scent of succulent meat filled sheep intestine was heavenly. However, I was determined not to spoil my appetite, which was being reserved for the infamous Fenway Frank. After garnishing my dog with mustard, onion and dill pickle condiment, I prepared to relish the savory goodness. Instead, a wave of panic washed over me. Where was the flavor? Did my childhood memories bamboozle me? And then I remembered the sweet smelling brats just outside the gate. What Have I Done?!? I couldnt leave, and the grilling carts were positioned too far away to hear my cries. I managed to catch the attention of a young teen sporting a KC Royals hat. We agreed that I would give him $20, after which he would place my order and return with the sausage. In return, I would give him $2 for his trouble. At first, I thought the young lad was just overly zealous when he sprinted toward the vendor. My bliss hastily morphed into heartbreak as I observed him continue down the street, out of sight. The half eaten Fenway Frank in my hand became as heavy as my heart. Swoop Says: Make sure to also employ a bigger faster boy, to ensure your delivery. Fenway is a mature stadium, rich in tradition... and that makes it a great ballpark in my book. Go Sox!

Overall a really great experience. The park is, of course, historic - and its really cool to exist inside that history for a few hours. The staff was so friendly and helpful I found it unusual (in a good way) and it really enhanced the exprience. The food, while expensive was good. The game, red sox - yankees was excellent. Ive heard complaints about the seat size which I think is ridiculous, the seat size is fine, if you have a problem YOU are oversized. The leg room is an issue Im more sympathetic to, I was fine, but Im 59", if you are 6 feet or above, the leg room will feel a bit tight. There is one bad thing, the beer. Having been to a number of sporting events we all know that beer prices are terrible at such events, but fenway takes it to a new level. The beer is monstrously expensive,(over 10 dollars a cup) and, despite the price the cups arent large servings. Finally the selection is poorly designed. Every stand has 2 beers only and one of them always seems to be Budweiser. I went back, and forth on if this brought it down a star, its really its 4.5.

Fenway is such a gorgeous classic ballpark. The place opened in 1912 and, while it has been kept up and modernized in some ways, it is almost like taking a time warp into the past. So much excitement, entertainment and nostalgia. The extremely high energy of the place can be felt before you even step inside-with performers and vendors lining Yawkey Way, yelling "Geeetcha hot dogs heaah!". It truly feels like youve been transported into a sensationalized movie version of what an ol timey ballpark, but it is all genuine. Only complaint, be prepared to be gouged if you intend to buy anything. A domestic beer will set you back around $10, so if youre the type of person who likes to watch a baseball game with a good buzz, Id suggest you have a few before you head on- plenty of bars and restaurants around that area. Same goes for food: dont go there on an empty stomach unless you plan to take a second mortgage out to buy a hot dog and pretzel.

Ive NEVER been to "BOSTON" or the FAMOUS "FENWAY PARK", But Ive told My Family that I would LOVE to visit there & "WRIGLEY FIELD" in "CHICAGO". I LOVED watching NBCS Coverage of ML BASEBALL back in the 1970s. "JIM RICE", "CARLTON FISK", "FREDDY LYNNE" & The GREAT "CARL YASTREMSKI" are some of the GREATEST Players that I ENJOYED Watching back then. It was FUN on a BEAUTIFUL FALL Day to watch The "RED SOX" vs The "YANKEES" in a Pivotal DIVISION GAME. "FENWAY PARK" has undergone MAJOR Renovations in the PAST, but "THE LEGACY" & the Beauty IS still there. "BOSTON" Fans are LUCKY TO HAVE such an HISTORIC LANDMARK to VISIT & ROOT for their "HOMETOWN TEAM" in. We have "PNC PARK", but we NEEDED a NEW Ballpark bc "THREE RIVERS STADIUM" was TURNING INTO an EYESORE. "FORBES FIELD", before "3 RIVERS", was a NEAT Ballpark, but it to was TURNING INTO an ANTIQUATED & SOMEWHAT Dangerous place.

Have been to Fenway about 8 times over the last 12 years. By far my worst experience. EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful vendors on a poutine line. Ive been to the Bronx, queens and philly where NO ONE treats you like this. Beer stands were rude too. Im from the NY was not wearing any stuff from Any other team, in fact was wearing a chowdaheadz Fenway cap. Im not looking for someone to wrap their arms around me, but cmon! I love the sox, but the stadium is geared now totally for people who know the ins and outs of the stadium. Huge disappointment as I brought family with me who were likewise were treated shabbily. For what you pay for for tickets(400$ for me and the family) the least Fenway can do is have the vendors who work there be civil. Had a positive experience with a couple of others, but overall it was not positive.

One of my bucket list items was to visit Fenway, as I grew up in a house that loved the Red Sox. This your was pretty amazing and I recommend to anyone, regardless if you are a fan or not. The stadium is rich in history. The tour starts by entering the stadium, and right from the beginning you see the iconic green monster wall. You your the visiting looker rooms and receive some history about the wooden seats in the park. You then get a chance to sit along the green monster, fabulous for pictures. You will see the in park garden and tour the press box. The tour gives lots of historic content to the team and the stadium. The tour runs about an hour and well worth the 20 bucks to get in. Tours generally run on the hour, but game day can impact schedule. I recommend you visit the website for rules and schedule.
