The property is fairly big and flat, with a few goats roaming in the back. The tasting room is in a large farmhouse that has several rooms, an upstairs, and a deck in back. This winery offers about 15 wines for sampling (but there are probably about 25 wines for purchase), from which you can choose 5 for a $5 sampling that includes their logoed glass. The sample sizes are generous, but the wines are just okay. They seem to get busy, so dont expect speedy service. The people working here mean well though. A receipt from here gets you a free tasting at Hardwick Vineyard & Winery in Hardwick, MA and vice versa.

We stopped at the winery mid Sunday afternoon. From the parking lot, the building is nothing out of the ordinary. However, the interior is rough sawn large beam post and beam and is quite striking. The young person who served us during the tasting was extremely knowledgeable in the products of the winery. This winery specializes in fruit wines (peach, pear, apple, cherry, cranberry, strawberry and raspberry), of which all were very good. The final sample was that of their chocolate/raspberry dessert wine. Yes, we did purchase a bottle.

I used to love them but I think Im done. First of all, its frigid!! Theres no heat so we froze during our tasting. The wines are decent but not a ton of places to sit, seating is uncomfortable and there really isnt anywhere outside to go. The sangria is uncomfortably citrus flavored, almost smells like cleaning solution. The chocolate strawberry is so acidic its not pleasant to drink. The pear and peach are delicious. The people are very friendly too. I want to love them but its just not a fun place.

I could drink your Pumpkin Frost wine all day and night. I only go to the BigE in September just for that wine. I wish this wine could be shipped or sold locally in the New Haven County, CT., but no such luck. I cant wait for the BigE to start so I can get my Pumpkin Frost fix!!!!!!!!!!
