I am a fairly serious golfer so I need to correct a few of the reviews. This is my local course and I play it often but make no mistake, this is a typical muni and not even close to a five star golf course. But the staff and head pro Chris are great. The front nine is wide open but deceivingly difficult with 2 long par 4s that are straight into the wind right off the bat. #5 is the first short hole but the green slopes away over the bunker and is very difficult to hold, you need to hit your drive down the right to have a chance. With a poor drive to the left the play is to drop down 2 clubs and hit it way short and right of the green, the big slope will put you near or on the right side of the green. Do not try to fly the trap and land on the green from this spot, bad things happen. Back nine is easily 2-3 shots easier even with a very long par 3 at #12.

Very nice layout and well maintained. It is a nice course because it is more challenging than Falls Road, Laytonsville and Needwood, but not as difficult as Hampshire Greens or Little Bennett. For golfers who love hitting over water, this course has THREE great water holes.
