It is without question, the most dynamic course design in Virginia. While I havent played Mike Strantz Tobacco Road, nearby Stonehouse is equally unique. RNKs Tee-to-Green conditions remain very good and at no point were we disappointed. That said, we fortunately avoided all bunkers as the sand in many of them was rather thin and hard-packed. Greens were in beautiful shape, rolled true but were of only medium speeds. For $39 on a Wednesday, we played 18 with cart, hit excellent range balls and were treated to a hearty sandwich & a cold Vienna Lager at the turn! Unbeatable Deal! Why dont more courses offer these daily packages? Clearly, Golf has waned since Tigers zenith and we thinning remaining players have to feel appreciated more. Traditional Clubs do great job of this..! As far as suggestions, we felt: - the bunkers should be re-raked at noon each day so as to match the premium up-market feel of the course design. [see Player Appreciation] - the 20 year-old cart paths need significant repair on at least 4 holes. [see Player Appreciation] - the driving range flags and yard markers are certainly due a refresh. Painting in "fairway edges" and a "green" at 150y would be of great help too. [see Player Appreciation] - EVERY water jug should be checked mid-day as we played on a cloudless 89F mid-October scorcher. 2 of the water jugs were EMPTY by 2pm. [again, see Player Appreciation] In summary, combining an amazing design, good conditions and a friendly supportive staff equal the best value in Virginia Golf. Heres to Another 20 Years of RNK!! Beautiful course. Front 9 is very hard, back 9 the course opens up a little however its still hard. I usually shoot low 80s however shot 100 there. Didnt help I wasnt hitting good but the course is tough. Take lots of balls! You are in the fairway or in the native grass... You wont find your ball. Club house is nice, everyone is friendly and course was in good condition, a few holes were a little rough.

best golf course ive played in my life,it was ridiculously difficult as well as beautiful. i was telling my playing partners that whoever built this course mustve been on pcp. if youre a golf nut like i am this is a jewel,par 72 with at least 25 blind shots,bunkers like saint andrews,ondulating and three tiered greens,WHAT A BEAST!

This is definitely one of the most difficult courses you will ever play, but dont let that stop you from experiencing this layout. The conditions are typically excellent, the staff is accommodating and friendly, and the grill serves one of the best burgers Ive had in ages. Bring plenty of balls!

They ran out of course maps so had no idea where many of the greens were when teeing off... Very interesting/different course since they are trying to keep original topography/vegetation... This made it near impossible to enjoy beautiful surrounding without knowing course layout...

Course design is fantastic. Very challenging. You will be tired after a round here, even if you ride. Condition of the course has diminished a bit over the years. Still a nice place to play if you want a challenge. A little on the pricey side.

This is one of my favorite golf courses. It is kind of tough if you do not know how to handle links style golf courses. First timers should start at the white tees even if you are a low handicapper.

Absolutely loved the course! Firm and fast greens. If your above the hole, you will 3 putt. Love links golf. Lots of mounding. Awesome finishing hole at 18th. Best course weve played in VA

This course is non-stop fun! So much shot shaping required, but you can score. Not sure what some are talking about with food quality, for a golf course its pretty good!
