We drive over 100 miles two or three times a month, passing by all the other nearby Casinos to go to blue chip and now since their guests are coming from further and further away , we are being mailed coupons to help subsidize fuel. William Binion left a jewel in Indiana for us to enjoy as we did and will when we return to Vegas and his other dreams around the country. It was a stop on a crammed short vacation: now we have retired they are landmarks and waypoints to go anywhere any time! I we like to thank him. Well tell you more as soon as our tried hands can continue to type the many treasures weve still would like to mention. So much to remember and so many new adventures there we are yet to enjoy.

Ok. I have a LOT to say about this place, as I am a frequent visitor, and have been for the last 8 years. Bare with me. First of all, the casino itself: its improved a lot. The slot machines used to be so tight, but now theyre a lot looser. (Thank you four winds). The table games are awesome, also. Most of the staff is very friendly, although Ive met a couple dealers that Id like to have fired due to their attitudes. (I will not play at the tables as long as these dealers are there). The points program is pretty cool, although if you dont have a lot of money, it takes a long time to hit higher tiers. It took me 6 years to hit emerald status because every month they take some points away from your card. I dont know why they do this. Anyway, they tend to treat higher tiered customers a lot better, but you have to keep spending in order to renew your status every 6 months. Also, they are very good about comping if you lose a little. (About $100 loss will get you a couple buffets). The bars: I dont really have a lot to say about these, as I dont drink much. However, my personal experience says they are clean establishments with friendly wait staff and expensive drinks. $7 for a daiquiri? No, thank you. The restaurants: I love the buffet! The wait staff (Most of them) know me and are quite sweet. My only complaint is that the last couple times I went with my friend, we went without refills for almost our whole meal. I spoke with a manager and had it taken care of, but its still something to be aware of. The deli - eh. Its not bad but it leaves a lot to be desired. If it gets busy, youre in for quite a wait, and the food is ok...but Ive had a better Italian beef at a bar - for about half the price. William bs is very high end, but I really cant complain about the food. I had a stuffed pork chop with feta, cranberries, and spinach I believe... and it was delicious. :) Finally, the hotel: very nice. Ive had no bad experiences with the rooms themselves. They are just lovely. (Im a non-smoker so Ive only seen these rooms, on both sides.) My only real complaint is that if you stay in the spa blu tower, you have to walk to the other side to use the pool and work out room. The pool and hot tubs are nice, but the work out room was sub par. Most of the machines needed serious maintenance. I cant rate the spa services, as Ive never used them. My other complaint is that for the free rooms, emerald members used to be waived from the $50 deposit. They changed that. I wrote the company and they actually wrote me back saying they couldnt do that anymore, but never explained why exactly, and then proceeded to say if I ever wanted to go to Las Vegas, they would help accommodate me, but didnt say how. I found that quite amusing. Overall: Im giving 4/5 stars because I really enjoy this establishment as a whole, but I still see areas that need improvement.

I booked this hotel, deluxe king non smoking room, for a 2 day getaway for my girlfriend and I. Upon entering the building, all I smelled was cigarette smoke coming from the casino, which is the majority of the casino floor. I was impressed with the front desk employees, as check in was fast and easy, and I was able to get in early, also. Upon entering our room, I did an inspection and found several uncleaned fixtures, dirty corners, peeling wallpaper, and even a bottle cap under the drapes. I posted my disappointment, with pictures, on their website, as to warn potential patrons, and ended up getting a response from management the next morning. The manager expressed her embarrassment, apologized, and gave us an upgrade to a suite at no extra charge. She said that she personally inspected the room and guaranteed the room was perfect. Upon my inspection, I found her idea of clean was not up to my standards. I found the chrome designer lamp, over the table, to be coated with dust. The mirrors in the bathroom had thick dust on top of them. And even one w section of a wall in the bathroom had some kind of splatter on it. I accepted the room, without complaint, and moved on. We also were given each a meal ticket, for any of the in house dining facilities, which we did utilize. The buffet was worth the price, but not much more. The lobby of the hotel, along with the rooms, is overdue for an update. The crystals, hanging from the ceiling, are yellowed and somewhat tacky. So, to make the best of our stay, we headed to the casino with $40. After about 4 hours of hitting the slot machines, we walked out with about half of what we started with, and smiles on our faces. Now, the biggest issue. Shortly after midnight, on night 2, my girlfriend had left our room to get some ice, and when she came back, her key wouldnt work. I let her in, then tried my key, thinking she was using the key from our first room, without success. I decided it could wait until morning, and we laid down for sleep. Well, a short time later, a bill was slipped under our door, with a message that my card was declined for the room. Only, I had prepaid for this room, and did not leave more room for more than an incidentals charge. It appears that their system automatically charges for rooms at midnight, whether you paid in advance or not. Overall, our stay was good. We had fun. We probably wont come back, at least not until it is updated.
