Bridge & Tunnel: When Milicent Wright is on stage, there should be no empty seats in the theatre. Every performance should be standing room only. Milicent plays multiple roles in this beautifully written one-woman play, and she is completely believable in every role. When she plays a man, I believed she was a man. When she was old Mrs. Levine or middle-aged Mrs. Ling, I believed it. When she played the young obnoxious rapper, I could hardly stand the guy. I lost track after a dozen characters, but every portrayal was outstanding. If there is a perfect actress in this world, it is Milicent, and this play is one of the best the IRT has ever done: serious, humorous, fast-paced and lively ("real theatre"), with excellent sound and lighting. So why are there any empty seats?! Id give this play TEN STARS if I could. (And ... IRT, dear ... please reprise "Having Our Say," which is a two-woman play, and one of them should be Milicent.)

I went to see this play on a field trip and I thought it would be boring and another dumb school play. To my surprise I actually liked it! The actors were great and thier personalitiy matched thier character, just like thier outfits matched who the represented. The music went with what was going on in the play and it followed in the church theme. I thought the reason for wearing hats in church was just to match your outfit but I learned that it was to be respectful. I also thought it was neat how they painted the cloth to make it look like wood. the lighting went well with who was talking and they also did a great job. I really liked the play and thanks for putting on a grat show.

The plays are mediocre at best, they have no sound system so its hard to hear, and the productions are pretty cheap. They pay their employees like crap, I know cause i was one. $7.50 and hour anyone? they do alot of one and two man shows to stay way below budget, they lack stage props for any other show besides Christmas carol. Lilly gave these people 7 millions dollars and they still cant get decent stage props, so I dont know whats up with that. If you have a lot of money to donate and wanna drink till something that wasnt intertaining before suddenly is to you, come here I guess. Id rather go see a movie.

We saw the plat..To Kill A Mocking Bird while all the actors were very good...the little girl that played Scout needs to go back to acting school. While she had an attitude like the actress in the original movie...she projected so that you could not understand anything she said. That was the thought of many people sitting around me and including my two friends that was with me. I rate the play a 6 because of that!!! movie

One of the largest nonprofit repertory theatres in the country, IRTs productions are always top-notch, presenting a mix of classic and contemporary pieces with fantastic production values. The beautiful Indiana Theatre, which houses the three stages of the IRT (main, upper, and cabaret), its production facilities, and the Indiana Roof Ballroom, was built as a 3,000-seat movie palace in 1927 and is worth a tour on its own.

Provided it is a play that you are interested in seeing then this place does a fantastic job of putting on productions. The sets are always quite amazing and the acting is on par with the shows I have seen from Broadway. Sometimes I feel that there play selection are off for my taste but they alway have a couple of shows I want to see a year.

Always a great experience. Most recently attended the Three Musketeers and was blown away by the acting and choreography. This has long been a favorite venue for my wife and I to go on dates. Tickets are cheaper than you would expect for a live show - lower than most concerts and ball games.

We have been to several shows at the IRT now and have loved each one. As a homeschool family we are given the student/teacher rates on studen matinee performances which make it more affordable. The staff is helpful and the casts/sets/shows are always excellent.

Nice small theater. Just saw a great play there: the Hound of the Baskervilles. The theater is very central, very nice building, great architecture. Employees were very nice. Would like a bit more leg room, but that was ok. We had a great time.

Enjoyed a lovely performance. Great ambience, beautiful decor, and a wonderful set created the perfect atmosphere. And try parking a bit away from the theater as it gets very crowded on Washington Street.
