This was the most horrible zoo ever. We seen a total of two animals a hippocampus and giraffe. The landscaping was poor and the staff all 4 of them seem lazy as can be. When asked for a refund was told sorry I dont know what to tell you here is the manager card which shes on vacation now so you can just email her and voice your complaints. $30.00 for a walk around a seem to be half mile hiking trail. Concession stands closed, vending machines broke down. Seriously I want a refund this was a complete waste of time for me and my family pleople if you from out of town stay away from this place because your sure to be disappointed by far.

What a wonderful zoo! I always look for zoos when I travel and decided to take my 10 month old son around this one. Every exhibit was immaculate and the animals looked so happy and healthy. You could tell that the animals care came first above all else. It was so refreshing to see everything being so well taken care of. As I said, weve been to many, many zoos and they arent always so well managed. We went the day after a lot of flooding and it was quite windy so a few animals had chosen to stay indoors. Who could blame them?! The price of admission was also very reasonable and we cant wait to come back next time were in Evansville!!

45 acres..good hike, misting stations, water fountains, over 700 animals...staff friendly the volunteers friendly, they werent afraid to answer questions. The Amazonia area beautiful....love the waterfall. The price to get in under ten bucks per adult. There is a Discovery Area for kids to learn as well as play area. Something for everyone to see and do! Great place it takes about3.5 hrs they have bumper cars for kids. They have paddle boats for adults. Just heads up they take tokens...you can get them while entering. For carousel lovers...they have one too! Grade from me...A++

The Mesker Zoo is by far one of my favorite places. The staff is great, the animals are happy, and the keepers know all about the animals in there charge The moment that stuck out the most was the giraffe enclosure. As we approached the giraffes we were sure that we were looking at a model giraffe. Turns out one of their females is completely comfortable with hanging out right next to you at the edge of the exhibit. At times it was less than 6 inches from us at it nibbled at the fence posts surrounding its exhibit. It turns out that she is very photogenic. And even a bit goofy!

The zoo was fantastic in general. Moderately priced, cleanish, and not super crowded. Very interactive and well designed. Absolutely hated the fact that the big cats they had were in cages smaller then most of the bird cages. Absolutely disgusted by the size of the tiger cage and I will be contacting someone about it. Also the tiger looked very skinny and in a very very small cage that the tiger couldnt even do a lap in. It actually ruined the zoo seeing how these huge cats were in cages smaller then my hotel room. Disgusted by it and for sure will contact someone about it.

Evansville is so lucky to have a zoo. It is small and does not have some animals that I wished it would have; however, what the zoo has is worth a fun-filled day to visit and learn about our world and the animals & plants that are on exhibit. My wife & I are members and go often... we are going later today (Mothers Day). We get in free to other zoos because we are members and enjoy them very much. Most of the other zoos are bigger than ours, but ours is right here at home and it is great! We are lucky to have a zoo! Come & visit our zoo and support it.

We have been members of the zoo since I was a child, at least 15 years. Ive loved seeing the many wonderful changes that they have made and how they continue to grow. While I understand that the zoo industry is still working to make up for its mistakes, I would love to see further emphasis placed on improving existing exhibits as opposed to bringing in *new* exhibits. We still appreciate Mesker and love bringing my family to make memories there as they grow up, just like my siblings and I did.

Mesker Park Zoo is a small but growing park. Admission is a great value! For the price of a movie ticket, you can spend the day exploring exhibits and learning more about ecosystems from around the world. The Amazonia South American Rainforest exhibit is my favorite! It provides a great escape from the cold during the winter months. By the way, the park is open 365 days a year. Dont forget to mark your calendar for events like Orchid Escape and Zoo Brew.

We went to this zoo a couple of months ago for the first time and had a blast. There are a lot of interesting exhibits and even an area you can walk through where the animals are out walking around. There is also a tunnel that kids can crawl through to see the otters from below. Also got a lot of great pictures. We keep our eye on the postings for fun events and look forward to going back! Very clean!

My wife and I took our daughter here to see the animals. I felt like we may have missed an area, but the zoo is a giant circle. Expect a workout here because theres a lot of hills. Some things really need some repair. It looked like they were working on the repairs though and had a new area being built when we visited. Well likely choose a different zoo next time, but may revisit eventually.

Its an ok zoo to see mainly small animals and reptiles. But the grounds were poorly kept the grass around the enclosure were high and the tigers enclosure was so small and pitiful looking. They dont have many animals and half the animals were not out. My son was quite disappointed and he wanted to leave. This park lacks maintenance for sure and we wont be visiting again it was a waste.

This zoo is better than it was years ago. The amazon area was very nice. In all honesty I went just to get there 1 year pass. It is good to get in to most every zoo in the country except Indianapolis, 172 in total. For a Family it is $65. Way less expensive than most other zoos. Fort Wayne for example is $115. None the less is it nice to see that they are making improvements.

This zoo has a lot of potential. I think we may have caught them at a bad time though because several exhibits were closed when we stopped by. This also would not be a good place for someone handicapped. Several of the hills are too extreme... We had a hard time keeping our stroller from rolling away, I can only imagine the difficulties one might have with a wheelchair.

We got a family membership and was a much better deal. After we go two times it will pay for itself. It was going to cost us $40+ for one time or $65 for a family membership. The zoo is very well kept and always growing. My favorite part was Amazonia. Even though its very warm and humid there are several very neat animals. We will go again.
