We do our best to avoid this theater if at all possible however today was not one of those days. We wanted to see Alice Through The Looking Glass and of course Showplace 12 is not showing it. The seating is NOT comfortable whatsoever despite what some reviews might have to say. This was the LEAST of what was uncomfortable about our visit today though. It was hotter than Hades outside AND inside! it was a very uncomfortable experience. Also it seems rather odd to have to stand in line to wait for two cups that you have to go stand in ANOTHER line to fill up yourself! and yet they still charge dearly for them. AMAZING! Yes the staff is friendly enough, well I should hope so! Our advice is as mentioned above; avoid this theater if it is possible. Please upgrade the place with better(more comfortable seating like Showplace 12). This location has been the same for over 20 years now, its time. Another thing before anyone smarts off we dont have mind having to get our own drinks it was just the idea of waiting in line for two cups only to have to stand in another line to get the drinks. That just seemed ridiculous.

Personally I love that it is never super busy. I come for the movies not for the decor. Yes it is a bit outdated but you dont have to worry about people next to you on their phones or talking. The staff is awesome and the price is normal for a movie theater. I have been to better looking movie places but this place has something those places did not and that is the movie theater experience without all the noisy people. So if you are the person who would rather pay over price for an updated decor then it is not for you. But if you want to watch a movie in peice and enjoy not being in a crowd, with A+ staff then you wont find a better place. Like all movies, the food is expensive but thats every movie theater these days. Besides who goes for the food?

Awful! I paid full price for it to be hot and muggy, they said the air was out, okay whatever it happens... Then the seat next to me was broken and even in the dim light I could tell it really needs updated, the wall fabric and seats are old and worn. I found SEVERAL ants crawling on me and my boyfriend says there was a different bug on him, he works for Terminix. I have never gone through the effort of asking for a manager or leaving a review but if you want to enjoy the movie go somewhere else. I saw King Arthur but by the end I was too hot and irritated to even enjoy the show. The manager seemed all too used to giving out free vouchers, which he did for me and customer service was fine, but jeez.

It is true that the chairs and facilities could be updated but everything works just fine. Remember that the price you pay for tickets isnt just a reflection of the theater but the entire movie industry, dont blame this location if you dont like the prices. When weve encountered problems with other patrons (very rare) the staff was quick to respond but you have to let them know. The bathrooms tend to be clean especially during the first showings but depending on what is showing the place can be packed. It isnt far from several nearby restaurants and the biggest Kroger in town (if not Indiana) so if you want to save money, dont buy at the theater, wait to eat afterwards or before.

I went to see the Dark Knight Returns. Paid $7.50 on Monday at 7pm. The movie sounded like we were at the drive-in. When I go to the theater, I expect an experience the I cannot reproduce in my home theater. The sound quality was terrible. I could hear speakers cutting in and out during the film. I will say that I enjoyed the subwoofers; they were loud, and and I could feel them easily. But the output from the higher frequencies was just terrible. I know this theater is convenient to the mall, and but the westside theater is superior by far. This has been the last movie I see at this theater. I may be on my way to the west side to see Dark Knight again.

The first thing people need to know is that if they have a functionality issue with this theater then its not the employees fault it is the fault of the owner of that particular theater and usually owners could care less as long as they make money. So things like the small and uncomfortable chairs in this theater cannot be fixed unless the owner cares. With that being said. I think the people who work here are very friendly and I do enjoy attending the early weekend film showings. My only issues are that films start much later in the day during the Week and I am a fan of early showing whenever.

Bad Shape. If you have been to most any theater in a bigger city in the past 10 years, you will realize how crummy this place has become. Generally, this theater is not very busy. It this the reason is in in such a state of disrepair, or vise-versa? Bathrooms are old, dirty. Seats are old and not very comfortable. Clearly, the condition of this theater is not a concern of AMC who has done nothing to refurbish it in the several years since they purchased it. Folks who rate this place high do not know what a nice theater should be like.

Had a great experience while visiting the theater about a month ago, I spoke to a young man who identified himself as the supervisor (his name has escaped me) with a question about getting my money back for the movie I had just paid for because I needed to leave for a family emergency. He was extremely thoughtful and sympathetic as he issued me a refund of my money quickly so I could get on my way. I wish customer service was like this everywhere.

Why did I even come. This place suuuuucks so bad! The food is bloody dreadful ( never buy the pretzels), the speakers are blown out bad seating and for some reason it smells like piss like someone urinated on the floor. Dont know why just really dislike this place. But unfortunately theres only two movie theatres and they both suck. I do have a problem with the attendees I appreciate them. so thats why I gave it a two star instead of one star.

Another big movie theater. The theater is old, and you can tell that. It is an AMC center so i would highly recommend becoming at least a free stubs member. There prices are a bit high, but maybe not for a movie theater. The seats are not comfortable, Definitely need a remodel. Recommend going to AMC Showplace 12 on the other side of town if you can. Much more comfortable, and pleasant experience.

I have been going to AMC 11 for decades. Its a good theater but not great. First movie I saw at this theater was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It was built about 7 years before tiered seating became popular. So, the design is a little outdated now. That being said the staff was very friendly, the theater is clean, and the 3D movie played with no problems.
