We had our wedding reception at Poplar Creek and the whole evening went so smoothly! Everything from the first email I sent to Jennifer to cleaning up after the reception was perfectly taken care of. Jennifer responded to my emails very quickly and answered all of my questions. She is so sweet! I had a couple last minute changes with how many people were coming to the wedding and it was no problem; I even had a change the day of and they took care of it right away. The food was fantastic and many of our guests have told me they loved it! It is well worth the price. Everything the day of was on time. The bakery Poplar Creek works with is wonderful as well. The tasting there was so fun and they made such a beautiful cake! My husband and I couldn’t decide which filling we liked better, so they did half the cake with one filling and half with the other at no extra fee (cake is included with booking poplar creek, they’re not just a prefered vendor). A few tips: 1. Certain days/time of the year may be better if you cannot afford the minimum. Just ask if there’s anything they can do. Our wedding was on a Sunday and that was much better for our budget than a Friday. 2. The one thing I wish I had done differently is ask them to set aside two of each appetizer so my husband and I could have tried all of them since we were late to cocktail hour.

Oran Cart

We went today and the course looks good at first glance. Great practice area, nice putting green, well kept club house that is fully stocked. Unfortunately, our round took over 4.5 hours to get to the 12th tee box. We just left, it was entirely too long of a round as is. The course from the back tees is a mere 6500 yards, it shouldnt take 4.5 hours to play 18, let alone 11. It was going to be a 7 hour round. Everyone that has mentioned the lack of a ranger is correct. Also, the greens are in rough shape. They are spotty and some have lengths of sod that have been replaced and poorly so. Im glad we got a discounted rate on golf now, otherwise it would have been even worse.

I was at both a golf outing and a wedding this year at Poplar Creek and both events were great. Course maintenance wise the the conditions were superb and the gps on the carts is a nice touch. The wedding we attended was in the fall and the room was set up really nice. The food tasted great and the bride and groom both said the service was perfect. Looking forward to playing here more next year.

I went there celebrating a birthday and every service provided was great. The food I had was Italian themed and the Italian sausage was cooked to perfection, along with a good variety of pastas, vegetables, and fruits. They also had a wide variety of desserts, all bakery quality. The staff delivered outstanding customer service. I would definitely book a party there in the future.

I was here for a golf match and the home team had no idea where they were going. The course had no signs whatsoever so ut was really hard to find the next hole. There is also water on almost every hole so if you suck at hitting over water this is not the place for you.

I love this driving range. The turf mats are well kept for my standards. Ive seen much worse. And a huge bucket of balls runs 17 dollars and you can pay with credit card at a dispenser right there. No need to go to the club house.

I have been to this course a few times and as an amateur I found it both difficult and entertaining. The property is very well maintained with towering trees and prairieland grasses the course exemplifies the beauty of Illinois.

Great golf course and even better place to have a golf outing. We go here a couple of times a year for fundraisers and each year is so much fun. Beautifully kept and friendly staff make it for a great day out!

Baby Shower event location was very nice. Catering food was well prepared and the staff was very attentive. The people in the parking lot were very unaware of people and other traffic however.

Nice course, but Silver Tees were up by the Green Tees today on several holes and it played very short, compared to normal Silver Tees placement. Course in very good condition.

Went to a business meeting at Poplar Creek Country Club. I love this place! The food is wonderful, the service is great. They are dedicated to their customers.

The course literally reminds me of a swamp.The course is always soft and wet no matter what, and the rangers are rude. They swore at my 11 year old son.

Great course with nice greens and farways. The carts have ball and club washers. Only thing really missing is more water options on the course.
