I bought tickets for the Lucky Strike New Years Soiree. This was not the best party in town but you paid to get in like it was. The ticket was $98 for general admission on the bowling alley side, but $30 if you came in on the arcade side. I am from St. Louis and have never been to a Lucky Strike establishment so I was a sucker and paid the former price because I did not know about the arcade. Initially, I had buyers remorse after reading the yelp reviews on the "dress code" and discrimination. In this regard, the establishment earns one star for reading the reviews also. This did not appear to be a problem when I arrived. The second star is for the little bit of swank and style the place has upon entering. For a second, you think you are entering a pretty cool place and then you hit the coat check line thats longer than the ladies restroom and initial entry lines combined. Oh and it costs. In the age of microchip credit cards and smart cars that drive themselves, Lucky Strike has a $2.00 cash only coat check line woman-ed by a very smug duo of coat check staffers. This place has many issues to so... Real Quick: Pros: Online ticket purchase means advanced entry (no standing in line outside) The door staff and bouncers were pleasant and surprisingly helpful. One lady even let me use her iphone to call an Uber after mine died. Nice music selection The guy at the mini golf counter was super nice and helpful Cons: Staff at the bar was rude. When I went to get my Champagne for the New Years toast the bartender at the bar on the far left poured himself a full glass and attempted to hand me barely a shot glass full saying "were out." There is no dance floor (unless you are talking about that awkward space five or six paces between the bar and booths.) People didnt dance and were not really encouraged to. Most people were hugging their space at the bar awkwardly bobbing their heads or doing some sort of weird wiggle next to a piece of furniture (booth, chair, bar, stone slab, and walls). The food that came with the ticket price was bad. Think dry pasta and hors doeuvres served on a platter sat on a table in the middle of the room that everyone is allowed to paw at. The drinks were watered down (considerably so). The arcade was fun but made me feel supper ripped off because I did not need to dress to code to play mini golf. Finally, whats spilled on the floor stays on the floor. Rain boots should be allowed because if you are one of the suckers that showed up in heels (me), better make sure your shoes are slip resistant. Surprises: Getting in didnt suck The arcade was cheaper and more fun The far left side of the bar has a ladies room with no lines or pee on the seats Advice: Dont take this place too seriously. Go to the AMC theater upstairs or hit a smaller local bar with people who dance badly but arent afraid to do so. Even if the food sucks youll probably still have more fun there than at this place. Well, if you are one of those awkward wigglers, you might actually like it.

Went to Lucky Strike for a late lunch/early dinner around 3. There were only 2 other tables with guests in the whole restaurant. It took 15 min for our server to come over because he was talking to the bar tender and other servers. When he finally came over, I asked if the tacos were made with corn or flour tortillas. He told me flour, so I asked if I could get the barbacoa tacos. They were out, so I got chicken. The food came 20 min later with out any sauce for the tacos. They were not made with flour tortillas, but with corn. I would have never ordered them had I known that. The food was cold and bland. Our server only came over 2 times-to take out order and to bring the check because he was so busy talking wit other staff. We sat with empty cups of water for 20 min and finally had to ask the manager for refills. Awful food and terrible service. Would never recommend to anyone

Bowling can always be a great time. I love the idea of an ‘upscale’ bowling alley, as I don’t want to be surrounded by sweaty men with beer guts groveling over their glory days in high school and pounding bear. The place is great for a date, or for groups. The environment is very well kept, with state-of-the-art lanes, score keeping, and visuals. They have a decent menu, but they close the kitchen at 9pm which is very odd for a place open till 2am (they do have a revised menu going till 2, but it is very limited). We received some great service from the associate running the lanes that night. Given the menu closed at 9, we wanted to go next door and eat, but did not want to wait hours upon our return. He reserved us a lane on the fly given it was not as busy as normal, and we were able to waltz right in after dinner. Just be aware, they have a strict dress code

If I could give this place 2.5 stars, I would. Lucky Strike is a really great place if you just want to waste time before a movie. Or if you want better food than what is served at the movie. Anything more than that, its a waste of time and money. Ridiculously overpriced. Well drinks ranging 12-13 dollars a piece. 5 dollars for every 15 minutes of pool. Thats outrageous. Who is shooting pool at 20 bucks an hour? Am I playing against Obama or something. Food much like everything else is here is average. Its really cheap bar food + 4-5 more dollars. The pizza I recently had tasted like a store bought oven pizza. Again its better than the food served at the movies but thats about it. Now thinking about it, Im docking the .5 stars and just gonna give it a 2.

Thee worst spot to visit when youre from out of town!! The charged my card the person bill next to me which totaled to 84.00, before I got angry the store manager told me there was nothing he could do!!! So I called my bank and pulled up my online banking information and it verbally from the teller the charge was clearly taken out! And I proved it by showing my statement, the waitress only came to our table twice the 3 hours we was there! What really made me up set is that the waitress admitted to charging my card and some how some way the manager says he has no record that this was ran on my card, therefore with no recipient information the Bank had nothing to issue me back! Im still awaiting for my Dispute!!!, NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER GO THERE THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY
