Im a long time customer of The E.D.G.E in Belleville, IL. Over the years theyve continued to expand and improve, and now they offer more to do than ever. They have a rather large arcade section (keep in mind they offer variety of entertainment, so they can not go to big on a single aspect), a nice movie theatre, they offer a bar (although due to age restrictions, Ive never been there) and finally, laser tag. Im going to focus on Laser tag because its rather unique, and although more and more places now offer it, they pale in comparison to The Edge. For starters, The Edge has a massive Laser tag arena, the biggest Ive ever been too. The layout of the arena is quite unique, besides having a cool theme, the arena itself is split into multiple sections. There is what feels like a maze made up of tons of corridors and turns, there is a forest section, a cave and my personal favorite, the castle. This arena supports big group games better than any other arena, due to its vastness and diversity. Now, most casual players should be sold at this point, if not, they offer way better deals and are much more reasonably price than any other arena, and the experience at this location is much better. Basically, youre getting more for less. Also, if youre a laser tag fanatic like myself, they offer deals where you can pay around $20 for unlimited laser tag for 5 hours or more, depending on the deal and day. Now, for those of you who have laser tagged before and you consider yourself more than just a casual player, this one should sell it for you. Assuming you already know the basic rules of laser tag (shoot people, and dont get shot; also no melees, seriously why would you hit some one), then this arena will go much further for you then others. First off, like previously stated, its quite the dynamic arena, and its huge. This means more room for more layers, and this is a popular place, typically bringing in good sized crowds assuming you go on a weekend. The more players, the better. More targets to shoot, must I elaborate? Moving forward, the packs/guns themselves are highly efficient, meaning they will fire as fast as you can pull a trigger, and if you shoot some one, you will hit them. See some one across the arena? No matter, these lasers mean business, you will hit them, assuming you have good aim and a steady hand. These packs are beyond proficient, so if you are playing to win, these pack/guns will compliment your competitive play nicely. Finally, Gems! What more could a competitive player ask for then power ups! If you are pushing the scrubs around, really kicking some serious butt, and you want to give yourself even more of an advantage, why not go invisible? Thats right, they have invisibility, along with quite a few other power ups. I wont elaborate further on the Gems mainly because its a perk youll have to experience for yourself. To wrap things up, if you want to have fun, come here. If you want to Laser Tag, never go anywhere else but here. Trust me, even if its not close by, it is definitely worth the drive. Family friendly, affordable, and it will give you a work out with how much youll be moving around, while ascending and descending the arena. P.S. They hold Laser Tag Tournaments every now and then here.

We had a not so great experience. We went to Hunger games "mockingjay" as a birthday celebration in the eat-in cinema with my spouse, dad, sister, her spouse, and my 3 year old niece. The nice workers got me my -online ordered&prepaid- tickets and walked us back to the area (first time there). Not once did any of them say that my niece wasnt allowed. We all go situated and were handed menus and started to read ourselves to order. My niece has an AMAZING attention span for her age and has learned to sit through movies at a young age, as long as she has snacks shes good to go. However, the movie starts and we get about 20 minutes in before a man comes in and tells us that she cant be in here and needs to leave. My sister and her husband left with her. We requested a refund. My spouse, dad, and I finished the movie while they were in the arcade area, but the night and celebration was absolutely ruined! Why did no one say something before and we couldve just switched to the regular theater. Same time. Same movie! I was so angry that after finishing i went and got a refund for the final three tickets, after much haggling. Bad experience, but at least they let us watch for free and tried to make it right. If theyd have told us from the start, wed have switched and theyd have gotten a better rating, but as they at least refunded us theyll save themselves from a terrible rating. I recommend going to the Edge, but make sure that the workers communicate well with you and you ask questions and questions as they dont go out of their way to make sure you are informed. At least, theyll try to do their best! okay experience for us, might go back, might not. Not sure yet.

I gave this place 3 stars because the two 8 years old boys I took there on December 29th had a blast. If I was reviewing from just the mom point of view it would be only 1 star. I took my son and nephew ( both 8 ) on a "play all day" deal. Got there at 11:30 and planned on staying a while to get the $25 per kid worth. So we decided to have lunch there. I didnt want to sit in the restaurant side with my boys running around the game side so when I went to the restaurant counter to ask about ordering food and eating on the game side the girl assured me that was no problem and she would bring me my food. Great. After paying $35 for a small cheese pizza, 6 wings, pretzel sticks, hummus, and 1 med soda ( the boys had water ) I asked if she would be my waitress. She told me she would so I tipped her $7 hoping she would check on me. Well, she brought the food out with no sauce for the wings and no plates for the pizza. I asked her for them and she said she would be right back. Never saw her again!! And I was there from 12:30 when she dropped off the food, till 4:00 when after 6 games of laser tag I was finally able to leave. There was no WIFI. And my Sprint phone was not able to get any signal. The TVs are all set to sports. The music is loud and sucks. I bought a book with me but had a hard time concentrating on it with The Beatles, I am the walrus, playing so loud. The staff seem confused when asked questions. As a mom waiting 4 hours to get the almost $100 spent worth I was not happy, but the boys absolutely loved it and had a great time. So theres that.

We were there from 11:30 till 4 trying to get my moneys worth. While the boys played laser tag I sat. The music is loud and sucks. All The TVs are set on sports.
