Short trail with lots of traffic noise from Route 45, but the moderate hills provide a good workout and the lake is a joy to sit by and let your feet rest. Be sure to bring sunscreen on sunny days, theres not a lot of trees near the trail to provide any shade. My only real disappointments with this preserve are a lack of picnic benches and no BBQ grills. Fewer people seem to stop here though, so you can usually get in a nice solemn hike. I wish they would plant more trees on the East side of the preserve to filter out the traffic noise.

Nice small tail to go and just drag your feet on. Short but still nice to just get away and chill.
