Ive played a lot golf in the USA. Callahan G.C. is not a resort but a fun place to play. I live in central Florida and play about 150 rounds a year. I played there in mid July twice. One of the best places Ive ever played. Course is in very good shape and the scenery is as good as it gets. Not a severe mountain course but more like gentle rolling hills. Family owned property since mid 1800s. Owners live on property and work pro shop and snack bar. This place is fun. Makes you glad you came out.

Recently I played Callahan golf links and have been in the golf business over 25 years. Not sure how much golf that person with the 1 star rating plays but he missed the mark on this review. The entire staff was very pleasant and course was in very nice condition.For a country course this is a real gem. Check your history, golf was created in the country in Scotland. Just enjoy the game, the course and the time we have to play this great game.

This is country golf at its most extreme. I dont know why anyone would play here when there are three excellent golf courses in the area. And the owner does not appear to appreciate his customers nor his marshals. I noticed that the owner, Matthew Callahan, gave his own golf course a five star rating a week ago. This is highly unethical for the owner to rate his own golf course, and should not be allowed.

Very good golf course and great management. Mr. Callahan goes out of his way for everybody who comes there. We play the course every Sunday that it doesnt rain or snow and enjoy it very much. And the rates are extremely fair.... especially during the week. The greens are absolutely superb and the fairways are now growing in and turning out to be very nice.

Enjoyed the course but very different from what Im used to...no one on hole one for a long time but wouldnt let us out early. Single guy went out, hit 3 balls off the first tee, at 10 they put two college girls (great golfers) behind us. We were sandwiched between them and a three some that took forever. Dont think Ill be back soon

The golf course in general is in ok shape...especially for the cost. Usually through golf now you can find a weekend tee time for $40 or less. Overall, this is not the best golf course you will ever play at, but it is far from the worst. Greens 7/10 Fairways 7/10

Great course for the amateur player. Greens are great year round - their specialty. Plenty of shot making opportunities. Challenging but fun! And if you play ready golf a round is easily completed under 4 hours - closer to 3... :)
