The venue itself is lovely. The owner was accommodating and quite wonderful to work with. If I were rating ONLY the venue, it would be 5 stars hands down. I wish that had been the end of the experience. The manager Freida, however, is pretentious and money-grubbing. She promises things like setting chairs and ferns up, but on the day of the event demands more money for "staff", which means pay up or do it yourself. My husband, wearing his $900 suit, set up chairs 1 hour before the event was to start. The wedding party was dragging huge ferns around in their dress clothes because she failed to deliver as she promised. The venue is EXTREMELY pricey for the location (off a mud road and down a dirt pig trail to get there) yet she demands $150 per hour the night before to set up. You want outside heaters? Theyre $60 each for the night. Staying past midnight? Thatll set you back another $150 per hour. When my husband called to ask about pricing, she said $2800 for the day. My now son-in-law (whom she doesnt like) called the next day and she said the standard "wedding" price was $3500. Seriously? The owner would be much better off hiring a more competent, customer-friendly person to run his place.

We had our 1970s Brooks Co. Class Reunion at The Oasis Venue and party place. It was an awesome experience! A great time was had by ALL! Freida and the staff explained everything we needed to do perfectly., and were very accommodating! We look forward to having another one soon?

A big Thank You, for helping us with my granddaughters grad party. The staff is great and the facilities are beautiful. My granddaughter will never forget dancing under the stars at the gazebo. I will recommend your venue to my friends.

This is clearly a case of someone not reading the contract. You cant expect something you dont want to pay for. The bride didnt want extra staff, I was told they would do it themselves.
