Day 1: If I could give ZERO stars I would. I booked a double suite for 4 people...they gave me a "so-called" suite with a small sink and a sofa bed for the 2nd bed. I tried to speak with the front desk and she said it was not her issue but my agents. Not one ounce of compassion or friendly customer service. I am in here trying to book ANYWHERE else because I will have to shorten my stay in Georgia because there is not enough space in the room. Even if they tried...even attempted to help- I would have at least tried to make the best of it. But the little flying gnats that are circling around the desk was more than enough reason to find anything else. Day 2 : (1 Star) We went down to get some drinks and my 10 year old son said, Mom- I prayed and I think this other lady will be nice to you. So she said let me talk to the manager, come back before 8am- but nothing happened still. Later on after the reviews and letters to the company must have been read- they called to apologize, but still no room. I said well can you at least clean the room. Then things got started... Tada... a room was found and I was told that there was a "no show" on Day 1. Day 3: (2 Stars) As I left- they were very accommodating. They offered me a refund and there was a total attitude change. And I was asked to think of this gesture in my review. So I thought... I wish that on Day 1 they would have treated me like they did on Day 3. It wasnt about the money for the room or the annoying Valdosta, GA gnats but its about being hospitable. There was ONE person that genuinely went out his way as I was leaving and HE should be the manger of the hotel because no one would ever know that he helped me without need for recognition. The janitor gave me a small bag for ice (after the front desk was out of bags) and he walked me to the ice machine and held the button while I poured the ice. He said, its hard to do both because of the slippery bags. While he will probably be overlooked and never recognized.. I can say to you " Thank you".

I am a former employee of this hotel, and while people may have hated their stay, they have no idea how awful it was behind the scenes. The manager there is a practicing Hindu and had idols in the back rooms, in the cash drawers, and on top of the safe in the back. She would light candles that were on top of the safe and say prayers. In every establishment there is a requirement by law to post documents about the Better Business Bureau and other organizations where employees can read them easily, but we couldnt find them anywhere. One of my coworkers had a question about healthcare and asked the manager for the number to the healthcare providers for the hotel, but when he asked our manager her response was "What questions do you have? You dnt need the number. You ahve questions, you ask me." And one time I caught her taking my overtime out of my break time, so that I didnt get paid for my work. I am thoroughly impressed with the staff that has stayed on patiently, but there has to be a stop to this stupidity. Oh, and for those of you who wonder how we would treat the guests behind their backs? Most of us were very kind and understanding about your problems. Me and two others would bend over backwards and spend our breaktimes trying to make things right for those of you who had problems. I have been upstairs after clocking out delivering care packages, corkscrews, and extra pillows after looking on every floor for more. It was always a pleasure. : )

I have stayed at other Hamptons but this one is different. It beats the others. My room was very clean, the hotel has a very fresh/clean air about it. Not "induced by Pinesol or some other funky disinfectant" type smell but a "natural clean nothing to hide air". My room had a working fridge and microwave, superb air-conditioning and clean rug. The little touches of the decor by the elevators and along the main halls leading to the rooms indicates a well thought our plan. The business center, laundry and gym are all in great condition. The free breakfast was great...no wonder everyone shows up for it. There is a great social event with some free finger picking foods and again served by friendly staff. The staff are well mannered and helpful. They allowed me an early check-in and they also allowed me check out the venue of our training event before hand and were very customer focused. It is common sense to stay here on my next visit! *duh!* Phillip (Professional Corporate Trainer & Speaker) April 30th 2012

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions. The last two stays have been lacking in quality customer service. I am so sick and tired of these young college girls working the front desk. Please fire them all and hire some mature people who need and will appreciate the job for crying out loud! They dont know how to be polite and Lord forbid if you need something. I asked for a cold bottled water during my checkout this past week. The response I got was, "You can get one from the cooler, it cost $1.50" and I said, "Dont I get a complementary water for being a Hilton Honors member?" She responded with "didnt you get one at check in last night" I said, "no" (LOL, shes the one who checked me in and she doesnt even remember.) She tried to hand me a luke warm one from behind the counter. I asked, "Cant I just get a cold one from the cooler?" She said, "Knock yourself out!" That did it for me. I have had enough!

We stayed at several hotels during our vacation road trip & this was the only chain hotel we booked, just looking for a good rate on the last leg. I usually avoid chain restaurants & hotels in general - I must say, this hotel was by far the best we stayed at the whole trip & the restaurant across the way "Cheddars", which looks to also be a chain, was also perhaps the best restaurant we ate at the whole trip. I guess the little guys dont have the capital to compete with Hampton Inn in terms of overall quality. It may look kinda generic, but at the end of the day this chain hotel hit all the right notes - the beds were more comfortable, the hotel & room was cleaner, the room was whisper quiet, the staff was friendlier, the complimentary breakfast was better/fresher - among all the hotels we stayed at this past week across Florida & South Georgia - 5 star review well earned.

We stayed here for a night in July of 2013. We are loyal Hampton Inn guests and this particular Hampton exceeded my expectations. The hotel was in pristine condition, very clean and well maintained. The rooms were exceptional, clean beds, modern decorations and high ceilings. All the normal room amenities working as expected (AC, shower, fridge etc). The staff was superb and friendly in a sincere way. The pool was in excellent condition, the breakfast was also exceptional the bakery goods were fresh the juice was not watered down, the milk ice cold, coffee strong and hot. At one point the coffee maker broke, the staff person in charge found me by the pool to tell me it was working again and offered to bring me a cup. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in Valdosta area.
