Hilton Auburn Hills Suites was the absolute perfect choice for our wedding block! We used them for our rehearsal dinner, room block, and breakfast the next morning. Truly, from the moment we inquired about the hotel as an option, to walking out the afternoon after the wedding, we had a classy, fun, incredibly memorable experience. I dont want to sound dramatic or like Im over exaggerating, as to take away from the sincerity of my review, but I truly think that using this hotel was key to the overall experience of our wedding weekend; I cant think of one constructive comment to add... every aspect made us happy and exceeded our expectations. Lauren Wamsley may be the most helpful, responsive, and understanding professional I worked with throughout the entire wedding planning process. She assisted with setting up our room block, setting up our shuttle, managing our block, and answering all of our questions from various family members. Its perfect for weddings or large groups because it is happily accommodating, forthcoming with costs, thinks ahead to what we need to consider, and the atrium makes for a great place for guests to meet up or interact around the hotel. Plus, the price of a room is the same or even less than what youd pay at other nice hotels but the service, amenities, and overall set up of the hotel makes me shocked the rates are as low as they are. Another nice feature was that the bar was open after our wedding so guests could continue the celebration together. We used one of the conference areas attached to the back of the atrium to do a big family breakfast- the food was absolutely amazing, especially for a buffet (you could also order off of a menu). For a large group, they did a great job with friendly, fast service and managing bills. One employee even graciously and patiently took a few family photos for us. The free shuttles to your wedding venue is such a great touch and so many of our guests took advantage of that. Event those drivers were friendly and patient and we loaded and unloaded and waited for people. Our corner suite was huge, clean, and exactly what we needed. We paid the extra fee to use the attached conference-style room and Im glad we did; the room is large but this gave us plenty of room to roam as we were getting ready and made the absolute perfect space for the ladies to come in and do our hair and makeup. Also, the bed... incredible. Slept like a rock the night before the wedding (that says a lot). It was huge and comfortable. Its also worth noting that the front desk staff were such gems! My bridesmaids and I had to call down for several different things the night before and the morning of the wedding. Instead of being annoyed or force a smile, the guys joked around with us ion a friendly and kind manner about the number of calls and happily took care of our requests. They interacted with us as we carried things in, checked in to rooms, etc. For being there all weekend, we had a positive experience with every employee we talked to, thats rare and exceeded our expectations. Lastly, the chocolate covered strawberries and champagne were such a nice touch to come back to after the wedding. We knew they came with the suite but didnt expect such high quality. Great presentation and delicious. Such a nice touch! Thank you, Hilton Auburn Hills!

I made our reservation through the HHonors app. Simple, easy process. I checked in through the app, as well, but when I tried to activate the digital key an error popped up in the app telling me to visit the front desk upon arrival. I did when we arrived, and the gentleman did something on the computer and then said your key should be working now. Well, the digital key never did activate during our entire 4 day stay. When we got to our room the first thing I notice are huge pink stains on the carpet. It appeared to be juice stains from a previous guest. I called the front desk to let them know about the stains so I didnt get charged damages. The girl at the desk just replied with an "Okay". She did not offer another room or offer to lower our rate to compensate for the condition of the room. It was disappointing to pay $158/night to feel like we were in a sleazy motel room. We went to breakfast in the Executive lounge our first morning here, and the food was horrible. The French Toast was dry and hard as a rock. The eggs were cold and slimy. The juice had an off taste. During the rest of our stay we did eat at the restaurant downstairs and order room service. When you get food straight from the kitchen, made to order, its exceptional with kind and accommodating service. The pool was ok. The chemicals irritated my daughters skin and there were horrible water leaks from the ceiling. It didnt matter where I sat around the pool water dripped down on me. We visited the pool 2 days in a row, and on the second day I could tell the area had not been cleaned. There was still an inch of water on the floor in some spots, the floor was filthy dirty and the hot tub water level was still down below the jets, so that had not been filled. I honestly cannot say I would return here in the future.

Its very nice and clean. But next time consider staying at the Marriott next-door. Be sure to take snack food with you. If you want to snack in the middle of the night there are no vending machines on any floor. There is what they call a "sweet shop" but its not actually a shop. Its a shelf with a dozen different candy bars on it that they charge twice that of a vending machine. And of course, you have to go down to the front desk. And you know how some hotels offer free breakfast, cereal, fruit and stuff. this one has breakfast too, except they throw scrambled eggs and bacon out and charge $15. Not that they felt the need to tell us that when we checked in, they simply told us that breakfast will be served in the morning. What she shouldve said is that breakfast will be "sold" in the morning. I understand there aint no such thing as a free lunch. But you should also get what you pay for. I was staying with a friend and afterword I found out how much she paid for that room. And I was further appalled. I dont stay in a lot of hotels but I have never paid that much for a room and gotten so few amenities. It is straight out insulting to treat hotel guests this way. I didnt have a chance to test this but there was a sign saying that outside food is forbidden in the hotel during the hours that the room service is operating. My not wanting to leave a hotel should not be an excuse for them to charge 2-3 times the value of something. I was here for a wedding so I doubt Ill be back anyway. But this experience has me seriously considering ever staying at any Hilton again.

My husband and I had stayed at your hotel on September 25th, 2015 to attend a wedding. I left right from work and planned on taking a shower and getting ready in the hotel. I arrived at the hotel at 3:10pm and knew I would have to hurry to shower and be ready to catch the shuttle to the wedding at 4:15. When the couple in front of me had their card declined and suggested it was the system the clerk insisted that it was her card and asked them to step to the side. When the clerk ran my card it was also declined and so was the person next to us. I told the clerk it must be your system can we clear this up later? Im running out of time. She made us wait for whom I assume was her supervisor. He finally gave us our keys and told us we can figure it out later (mind you he did not apologize). It was 3:45 by the time we got our key and I didnt have time to get ready. I have never had so much trouble getting a room in my life. I felt embarrassed and feel like I should have gotten an apology and I think if anything we should have gotten our mediocre breakfast comped. By mediocre I mean the sausage was hard and the eggs were uneatable but the fruit was very good. After we had paid our bill at the restaurant, the server never came back to fill our coffee. The hotel was a typical Hilton, clean and modern. The only problem with the room I had was there wasnt a full size mirror so I couldnt see my outfit and the bathroom didnt have a fan. Further more I dont believe I was awarded bonus points for listening to sales pitch for Hilton rewards.
