First of all, I booked a Tee Time online, got a confirmation email with the rate per person listed, printed it out, took it in, and was charged more than price listed on the confirmation email. When I asked the man at their clubhouse why it was more than the booked rate, he said they had just aerated their greens and it was one flat discounted rate which should have been the same price as their super-twilight rate. I then pointed out my confirmation email rate was still cheaper, he just told me it was listed wrong. I know it was only $5 per person, but DO NOT trust their websites prices. Second, as you might have noticed from the issue above, the man at the register wasnt the slightest bit helpful and was actually quite rude. He acted as if I was annoying him by being there, and that I had no right to ask why they were charging me more. If I had not been going there with a friend, I would have just walked out. Third, the aerated greens were absolutely unplayable. I know they are supposed to be bad the first few days after, but my main concern was that there was no mention of this until AFTER I had paid. Again, if they had told me this before I had paid (or actually given me a discount, not charge me more for the fact), I would have left. The starter, unlike the rest of the establishment, was actually quite nice. If they had him at the register, Im sure the whole experience would have gone differently. All in all, reasonable course IF it has not been aerated recently, but the misleading customer service and bad website absolutely killed it. Unfortunately, after being treated like an annoyance and being lied to, I will never go here again.

I recently went to the hooch for first time. At first I was happy with the course. For an executive course it was ok. The greens were in poor condition, as well as the tee boxes. After a few holes you could see that maintenance was not a priority. After we teed off on hole 17 we were told we had to leave the course, because it was closed. There was plenty of light left, and the ranger was very rude about it. I have never been kicked off a course when there is plenty of light left to finish a round. I was incredibly shocked at how rude this ranger was. I have since learned that there has recently been an ownership change. All of my friends who recommended this course so highly say it is a shell of its former self. With so much good golf in Georgia, dont waste your money on this place. There are tons of other courses that are in better condition and cheaper. Add the attitude of the staff and you can do much better. Golf should be enjoyable, and you should not be treated with hostility. There are too many full courses for the same amount of money, so treat yourself to one of those.

Do Not go here because they have poorly customer service and the (korean) marshall tried to pick a fight with my mother and I when we were trying to get our golf carts. after complaining to the manager about the nasty marshalls behavior and attitude, he did nothing but act rude to us as well. Didnt take the time to applogize and kept asking if we wanted a refund. While we were at the very first hole, the manager had the nerve to ask us for our receipt to make sure we paid for our carts??!? Really? That is pretty disrespecful and clearly made us feel like we were criminals or something. We had our grandmother who wasnt even playing with us and we paid the $10 cart fee for the extra person to ride along. kevin is one of the worst managers thay i have ever come across and he does not know how to properly handle a situation. These people dont respect their customers, therefore i will no longer be giving this place business.

Been using the range for years and it keeps getting worse. The latest is after taking my money, and sending me to get balls out of machine, I see a small sign saying for no apparent reason, I have to hit off mats. Mats are in deplorable condition and no rubber stopper tees anywhere. Nobody is there so after hitting irons from mats, I hit a few drives off tee in grass. Barney Fife comes driving over and tells me I cant do that. I move to chipping area and he tells me not to chip either for some maintenance reason. Total rip off. Is it too much to ask that if you cant work on but 1/3 of my game, they tell you before collecting money.

Over the past 12 years Ive probably played The Hooch more than any other golf course in Greater Atlanta, and still enjoy heading over when I want to get 18 holes in quicker than a regulation course. 7 par 4s and no par 5s. Relatively flat with most challenges coming from water coming into play on 8 holes. If you are not comfortable around novice golfers who tend to congregate there, the Hooch is probably not for you. P.S. The course does, in fact, run along the bank of the Chattahoochie River, but the river is not visible from tees to greens. Best view is behind the tee boxes on Number 13.

When a group of my friends and I were playing too slow, the manager and an everyday member started by threatening to kick us off because we were playing too slow. Then, they continued to yell at us and talked about calling the cops on us because we drove the cart slightly close to the green. Also, the member started cursing at us and threatened to beat all of our faces in with his club. The manager and owner didnt do anything about the yelling and abusive manner.WOULD RATHER GOLF IN A LAKE THAN PLAY HERE AGAIN.

Ok we played early morning lots of people showing up at the same time good place to hone your short irons. Putting greens have a lot to be desired. I guess alot of the people that play here dont understand repairing your ball marks. Also as a service remember greens are not the place to spit your sunflower seeds are cigarettes butts. Its golf not your trailer Also dont have Jr rates cost more to play here than my normal nicer course who only charges me 11 for my 9yo

Greens are very rough and it appears no one repairs a ball mark. Sand traps are unplayable. Good luck finding accurate yardage on the tees. Fairways were recently mowed and the massive clumps of clippings suggested it had been awhile. Some tees are uneven and many holes are gimmicky. The clientele seems better suited for a batting cage or water park. This isnt golf. Its barely a step up from a driving range.

If youre a real golfer... this place is a good warm up. Although I dont think theyve bought new range balls since the turn of the century. Course is decent shape, but its an "executive" size course.

Good little course if you are working on your short game (No par 5s but long enough for us hackers). Way too many divit marks in the greens. Crazy. Fun course. Will be back.

Cheap and fast rounds are what youll find at the hooch. Great for tuning up your iron and wedge game. Greens are typically slow which makes it hard to work on putting.
