Ive been here twice for wine tastings, and the wine is excellent, the owner is very interesting to talk to, and the location is very cool! If you get a chance to do a private wine tasting with the owner, thats the best, as you get to hear stories of how the wines were made, why he got into winemaking, and enjoy some different cheeses and bread to enhance the character of the wines. I just stopped buy to purchase 50 bottles from them for my wedding, thats how much I like this wine. No, they dont grow the grapes onsite. You dont have to grow your grapes to be a good winemaker. Actually, since you dont grow your own grapes, you get to pick which grapes to buy - so if you would have had a bad grapes year, you can buy your grapes somewhere else. So dont criticize a wine maker because they dont grow their own grapes. Few Michigan winemakers do - a lot have vines on their property, but thats mostly for show. I dont think Lorenzo got into this to make money - he has a different full time job. He got into it because he has a passion for wine and wanted to share that with others.

Biggest disappointment of our wine tour (we visited here on August 22). $10 tasting (most pricey in my life anywhere for a half-ounce pour) and the hostess did nothing to engage us. Didnt bother to rinse our glasses between tastings. Not so much as a cheap saltine to cleanse the palate. Overpriced wine that was nothing special. Big, empty tasting room was used, which made the experience worse since a very intimate space at the original tasting room would have made a huge difference. The hostess had zero passion for what she was doing and we were in and out (and glad to be) in under 45 minutes. I bought zero wine; not that good! We were forewarned that this winery was mostly for show and ego, and this proved to be true. Would give it zero stars, but had to give a minimum of one to publish this.

I did not. Know what to expect when we pulled up to the winery gazebo where the wine tasting takes place but I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the tasting room. It was tastfully decorated, our wine server was very nice and knowledgable about each wine, not to mention you try the whole list of wines. It was a great experience and we walked away with three bottles and some large stem ware. Great experience, love the wine!!

My sisters and I love to go visit wineries. The server we had 7/3/2017 could have done a better job; she rushed us through, did not explain the different wines they had, didnt serve them in the proper order and her overall demeanor wasnt very friendly. I could understand if they had been busy but when we got there there was only 1 other person there.

Found this little winery last summer and we loved it! Only one other couple was there when we arrived so we got to meet Lorenzo and take a tour of the grounds which was fun! The wines were a nice change of pace compared to traditional Michigan wines. Stop by even if it is out of your way!

This is a beautiful Tasting room that resembles a fine French vineyard. The wines produced here are exquisite, without being pretentious. I highly recommend doing one of the tasting flights, and enjoy a glass on the patio.

My girlfriend and I took a trip here yesterday and it was great. We showed up at 3pm and almost felt like we were interrupting but they couldnt have been more welcoming. They have great wines too. A real hidden gem.

No tastings on the deck by the glass only. To participate in very Southeast Michigan Pioneer wine trail promotion you must buy a bottle.

Read Steves review below. He summarized it perfectly and we too have discussed buying Lorenzos wine for our wedding. Its truly worth it.
