In the center of the dirt parking lot is a fenced off section for turtles where we see at least one each visit. The main entrance to the trails is an indoor visitors center with a mini museum, public restrooms, and gift shop; immediately to the left of the building is a screened in area with benches for tour groups to meet. There are several miles of trails to choose from. On the scrub trail weve seen eagles flying, while on the Magnolia Loop youll see big magnolia trees, orange trees, and weve even seen hogs, but my husband and my favorite trail is the Biodiversity Loop! On the way to the boardwalk is a lookout that (when not covered by leaves) you can see what looks like a cliff-face on either side of a man-made canal, but its actually sand! Its a fun optical illusion. Once at the boardwalk youll be surrounded by trees covered in resurrection fern. I highly recommend going after a good rain because the fern turns a vibrant green -making it obvious to how the park got its name: Enchanted Forest.

Free. Small Nature Center with displays of nice butterflies and Beatles. Also explanation of the gopher tortoise. Nice trails. Was welcoming of my well behaved Service Dog. No pets allowed. Two stars are missing deducted due to a lot of urban and aircraft noise pollution so therefore to be an enchanted forest then probably need a few hundred square miles because people are so extremely noisy with their destruction of the surrounding environment

I love it! They have tons of trails, AMAZING views, the wildlife that surrounds you is fantastic! They have the trails, then an indoor area with posters, fossils you can play with, theres never a dull moment here. Although, I would recommend bug spray. I went there in 5th grade, everything was amazing, and then the summer of 2017, everything was still just as cool, great family experience!

Forest has trails with small hills for extra exercise. (e.g., Coquina Trail and Tomoka Trail) and typical Florida flat trail (e.g., Biodiversity Loop and Magnolia Loop) Historic The Addison/Ellis Canal goes through the park. By the modern activity center they also have a Butterfly garden. Most certainly worth stopping by if you like nature.

Not the best views throughout the forest. Got attacked by painful carpenter ants hiding in the grass. Mosquitoes and biting flies plentiful, not to mention the miserable level of humidity in the air. Only memorable experience here was the gift shop information department.

Its a beautiful location, but I was expecting a little more. I liked seeing the location where they were going to put in a canal and now that its been abandoned, nature is slowly reclaiming it.

Great way to spend half a day!! Range of sub-tropical habitats; excellent inter-linking hiking trails. Includes views of Atlantic Coastal Ridge. Friendly and helpful volunteer greeted us.

I love hiking here. Multiple trails to mix it up. Theres enough of a canopy to keep the sun directly off you for most of the walk as well.

It was very beautiful and the scenery was breathtaking. The only problem i had was the horseflies. They ate me and my wife up.
