Everyone needs to know I have never worked in such nasty and hateful conditions. These people are from another country and TRUST me you are taking a gamble if you eat!! The joke it all tastes like chicken could not be more true here. The old lady takes all the tips (reason they cant keep employees). They have written so many bad checks no place will supply them (google it). The hole in the ceiling is sewage pipes running over the dining tables. I have NEVER seen a bar so nasty. All the drink dispensers are full of slime and the fruit flies are everywhere. I watched roaches crawl from under the counter to the top of the bar. I wont mention any names but my last night there a roach crawled up a members leg. This place will not be open long as the temp license has been in pending payment status for 3 weeks and he is operating the course under a hotel license which requires a min. of 80 rooms. I am not trying to be mean but I cant stand the fact that people are being mislead and paying dues to be a member and wasting their hard earned money while being told false stories and believe me you will never get your money back. I never got my tips and even covered for these people in hopes of getting my money until I got to the point I could not take it anymore. If any of you have any doubt look up Mark, he will be more than happy to enlighten you! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This course is pretty expensive. I got a great deal through golf18 so decided to give it a try. MISTAKE. Ive golfed probably 25 golf courses and this BY FAR is the worst Ive ever played at. Oh where to start. The tee boxes are literally just weeds- weeds will be a common trend here. there literally are no fairways-just weeds. The rough is overgrown and nasty. Even the bunkers arent sand--theyre, you guessed it, weeds. Everywhere. All the trap is just dirt/mud and weeds everywhere. Problem 2- gnats. everywhere. great way to disturb your swing. Ive just never seen a course not have any fairways at all. One redeeming value- the greens are in pretty decent shape. Some sand/fading but overall very decent for summer in Florida. Service was also good-pro shop guy was very helpful. Cant imagine this course will stay open much longer

The hills course needs to have a make-over. Lakes is fine. The staff are very rude except for a man named Dennis. I go to Walden Lakes golf course about three times a week and Dennis has been the only nice staff member that is willing to help with anything. Another thing I cant stand is that Ill call and make a tee time and they tell me one price that is cheaper but when I get there, they want 10 dollars more. Screw that. I would much rather go to WedgeWood (by the way $15 to $18 after 3 p.m. everyday and the course is a lot better) or Peeble Creek... but I live extremely close to Walden Lake.

The website and the reviews below are so far from reality. There is no pro shop, you have to go to the bar in an almost empty building to pay for golf. The fairways were like concrete and brown with weeds. the greens were in poor shape also. We couldnt tee off from the blue tees on some holes because sprinklers were running. They should be watering the greens and fairways. Very disappointing Thanksgiving round last week with the family.

Course has been under new management since June 8, and I cant tell you what a difference. They have reseeded the fairways and the greens are in great shape. The course is one of the best in the area. They have lunch and dinner on Fridays that is worth coming out to enjoy. The new management is very friendly and looking to do whatever is in the interest of their supporters. Enjoyed the course and the clubhouse very much

The Hills course is closed which is a good thing because you would not want to play it. The only thing that is in good shape on the Lakes course is the greens, nothing else. There is grass in the sand traps, the tee boxes are in poor shape and the cart paths are full of holes. It is a shame, this was one of the best courses in Hillsborough now it is the worst one in Hillsborough.

If you like playing golf in a cow pasture than this is the place for you. They have closed the Hills course and the tee boxes and fairways on the Lakes course are in disrepair. The owner wants to bulldoze the club and build townhomes and condos so he has stopped all maintenance except mowing on the course. This facility will most likely not exist beyond 2014.

I worked on this course years ago. I can not believe The condition it is in. I will never return to this course again. The greens are sand traps, told me they just aerated the greens I dont understand why they would do that because they barley have any grass on them. Big waste of money nothing but a cow pasture.

This golf course and country club has failed due to financial and operational mismanagement. Neither of the two 18-hole golf courses are open. Failure of the Hills Course took place three years ago. Failure of the Lake Course completed in May 2015.

IVE BEEN TWICE IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS 1ST TIME WAS AN ABOVE AVERAGE OUTING ON THE HILLS COURSE. THE SECOND TIME WAS BAD MOSTLY BECAUSE THE WEATHER KILLED ALL THE GRASS. I HOPE THEY RESEED AND FILL IN THAT SINK HOLE THATS ON THE 2 HOLE OF THE LAKES

Played this course last year when it had little to offer. Came back again in January 2016 and it had improved somewhat, especially the greens. Most of the fairways have now been reseeded and much improved. Generally quick play.

-4 Stars. A miserable experience! Fairways??? Fairways!!! Chickweed and 4 other strains.. and what was Not Weeds was sand!! Greeens? hahahaha. This course has not been mowed let alone taken the least bit of care. Complete Garbage!

The chef and bar staff are very professional. Food is always well prepared. Great driving range and practice putting green.
