This course is made up of 4 nine hole courses that you play in any combination you chose. There are two short nine hole courses and two long hole courses. Play 2 short hole or two long hole or a short hole and a long hole course. And you decide what to play after you check in not before. This is no county club and it has no pretensions to such. Some of the holes have an "interesting" layout. The place has some quirky anomalies that give the course character. First timers should be aware that there is no signage so you may need a spirit of exploration and occasional guidance from fellow golfers. The lack of signage is a well known fact so fellow golfers are more than willing to direct you to your next proper tee-off or proper hole. This will challenge the beginner golfer to the almost par golfer. An enjoyable, friendly inexpensive course( especially if you pay your green fees on line) It is more expensive to show up and play. No need to book a tee off time- first come first served. This course gets a little bit more improved every year.

I went to high school in Manatee County. Now I live where the weather prohibits play 3 months a year. When I tell my buddies at home that when I visit the warm climes of Florida I can play on a Holiday weekend for less than $30 with a cart...they say what is the catch? My local friends and I have played the courses (4 x 9 holes) at Palmetto Pines since the 90s. The courses are not long, you need a hard hat at times because greens are very near the next tee box and the greens are tiny so if you can score here you can score anywhere. If you want meticulous conditions – go elsewhere. If you want a relaxed atmosphere, friendly people and a hassle free day of Golf – try Palmetto Pines. Cash only and personal coolers strictly welcome. Thank you Mr. Neal for continuing the tradition in Parrish.

disastrous , your playing on a farm. the course is pitiful, weeds, weeds, and weeds on the fairways and green . if you want to destroy your swing, this is this place to do it . and they have the nuts to charge premium rates to play on a cow pasture. $28.00 for prime rate is way too much, $10.00 or less would be fair. what they need to do, is close the course ,fire everybody, and 1) give it back to the cows 2) spend the money and turn it into a real golf 3) GOLFNOW OR GOLFLINKS ought to start a list of course to stay away from!!!. scratch this from ur list for sure.

This is just 36 holes with very little sensible arrangement. Every single "fairway" is completely straight. No bunkers, very few water hazards. No cart paths and not a single sign to designate which hole is which. They also only accept cash. We ended up playing the front nine on a section which was supposed to be closed, but no one informed us and there were, as I said, no signs. However, the people were friendly and we had a full 18 holes including carts and club rentals (5 clubs each) for under $40.

I have played over 100 different public golf courses in 19 different states and this is the worst golf experience I have ever had. Not only was it hard to find but the staff was indifferent at best. The course itself was not mowed. The greens were fuzzy and in terrible shape. There were no fairways and the t boxes were unkempt. There were numerous unfilled divots because there is no sand on the carts. In fact it was so bad I quit after nine holes. Will not go back nor recommend to anyone.

WAS TOLD TO START ON BLUE 9, FOUND #1, SCORECARD DOES NOT SHOW HOLE LAYOUT, WENT TO PLAY #2, CLOSEST TEE BOX TO #1, TEE BOX HAS NO MARKER, SO TEE OFF FOUND OUT LATER IT WAS #5, JUST A BAD START TO A BAD ROUND. COURSE IS BAD SHAPE, GREENS ARE DEAD. WAS NOT A GOOD EXPERICE.

Good course long open fairways , not a five star but the natural beauty is wonderful it lays between two cattle farms so you appreciate natural beauty you will enjoy , greens a little bit rough but for the price good deal .

Not the best but it suits me just fine. It could stand a little more TLC by the groundskeepers but I still like it. No sand traps, no drink cart, no marshals, no dog legs and not a lot of water.

This is without a doubt the poorest excuse for a golf course I have ever seen. They should pay you to play there.
