The following is a letter that I sent to the Club and as of this writing there has been no response whatsoever.I hope some improvement has taken place. The Appropriate Manager, Cypress Creek Golf Club: Sir or Madam: As you know, the comment sheet available at the entrance to your dining areas states: “Cypress Creek Golf Club prides itself in unsurpassed standards of service and quality of product” I am writing to you in respect to the totally unacceptable standard of service that our party of 5 experienced at dinner on Valentine’s Day 2015. Unlike several other tables in the dining room, our table’s order was taken in a timely fashion; initial beverages were served followed by the soup/salad and main course. From then on we did not see our wait person for about an hour or more despite asking the few other staff to alert our waitress. As anyone might expect, we all ran out of our beverages and one of our party’s preference is for water, and water only, with her meals. Most frustrated and for very good reason, that diner went to the beverage buffet and refreshed our coffee and water [the wine drinker did without any more wine]. Diners at several other tables applauded her initiative and in return she refreshed their beverages for them. Some were still waiting for their meals. The few wait staff that came to the dining room stayed out of her way. Were they just experiencing the normal happening and nothing out of the ordinary? Finally, our server returned and took our dessert order. The cake item of which had obviously been sliced much earlier in the day, left uncovered and was dried out [stale] to the point of being inedible. I have since been told that food served in the larger dining room was cold, the vegetables were overcooked and the dessert cake item stale as well. Not very impressive Questioned as to her absence she told us that she was also working the larger dining room and that our table was one of 4 that were supposed to be attended to by an absent wait person. I asked her send the manager to see me. He or she did not appear. Our bill though and included the 20% gratuity. Since we were aware of that questionable billing practice before we booked, we paid it. Having been significantly involved in bulk food procurement, issue and preparation; staff training, dining room and kitchen operation and management during my career, I am well aware of the problems that can arise in all aspects of food service. That you were seemingly unable to overcome service and quality problems for a dining event that many consider a highlight of their Valentine’s Day is, to me, incomprehensible. Those in my party are all members of numerically significant groups that dine out periodically. While I cannot speak for them, I would be very hesitant to recommend the Cypress Creek Golf Club as a dining venue. Sincerely, Peter M. Darrach, Hawaiian Isles Resort, Ruskin

If you havent played it, do it! It has always been a wonderful layout. Some great holes, some can be real beasts, especially when the winds blow. But hardly any weak holes. Now that I have moved up to white tees, it seems a lot easier. The last four (or five, if you count the Par 5 14th) holes can be round-wreckers. But you will not be bored. Some condition issues when it rains, but today was wonderful. Greens are perfect; fast, true, but very tough to read. All together, a fun, different type of course. Most of it doesnt even have houses on it, maybe only 4 holes. Enjoy. Tough, but fun. Only one complaint - make sure you book tee time on their website - I arrived without doing it, and they tried to charge me $65 or so, instead of the $39 advertised online. They refused to honor that, so I had to use my phone to stand in the pro shop and make a reservation. Stupid!

Golf course is great. Not true about the employees. Was told by bartender that since we didnt tip waitress, she will have management kick us out and not allow us to come back. There was a misunderstanding about the bill. Our guy paying the bill thought that tip was included already. We then tipped her $30 when we were told we didnt tip yet. He threat was so uncall for. We spend over $800 here between 10 guys in one day. We will b taking our business else where next time. Nice course though.

It has Undulating Fairways and greens If your a high handicapper and cant spin ur ball to stop, and cant hit high looping shots from 150 yARDS in ,DONT PLAY THIS COURSE COURSE IS NOT FORGIVING FROM 100 yds in . Very frustrating for a good ( 85 and up) Scorer. It is not a fun course to play Only experienced golfer low handicap and likes that kind of course. Nothing but hill, swells and valleys on green and around the green.

Considering I live on the course and never played here, I figured Id give it a try. $32 for 9 holes is usually too much and afterwards, turns out it wasnt worth it. Greens have sand across them all. Its a tough and well laid out course, just played on better for a lot cheaper.

A hidden gem in Tampa Bay! It is a great layout that every level of player can enjoy. The greens are some of the best in the area. They are fast and true! I recommend Cypress Creek to anyone looking for a place to play.

Best Golf on the Southshore. Great challenging course. Way better than a typical Florida residential course. Very reasonable fees. Very military friendly.

Course was in great shape. Plays longer than the yardage on the card. Recommend golfers play the next tee up than their normal.
