A good day of golf, marred by poor customer service. Had a threesome tee off just after Noon, actually picked up a single at the 1st tee box with the blessing of the starter. Course was cart path only because of standing water from the rain two days before. We knew we played a little slow the first 9 and let a two-some thru. Marshall let us know our Pace and we picked it up. Came around to hole 16 and the Marshall comes with I guess the manager and asks us to move off and let a foursome play thru because we are on Pace for a 6hr round. (Bear in mind we teed off at noon, on hole 16, its 4:15 with cart path only condition) we finished 4hr 45min, but probably would have been done sooner if we were not harassed by management over a non-point. If there were people waiting, we would let them play thru, would not have been an issue. Needless to say, we enjoyed the round, minus the management and lack of customer service skills.

We played 4-20-2015. The discounted fee was still too high. They said the fee was lowered because the greens were not in good shape; a real understatement. There had been some recent rain but almost the entire course could be ruled casual water. This was a disappointing golf experience since we were here from Texas. Experiences like ours will take a long time to overcome. I have friends coming to the area later this year and I can not recommend this as a place to play. I was ready to ask for some of our money back.

Was expecting an awesome course. On arrival, I asked about the condition of the greens. I was told the were in perfect shape. When I got out on the course every green was sanded. I asked Marshall about the discrepancy in the information I was given. He told me that the ground crew had not informed anyone that they were sanding the greens. (Very hard to believe) I left with lighter pockets and very disappointed expectations. IF A CUSTOMER ASKS, He should be told the TRUTH!

Poor greens, terrible fairways, and just plain rude staff. I dont expect poor customer service when Im paying such high prices - Id rather play where Im treated with some courtesy. We played anyway, but left early the course was in such bad shape. Its a shame because wed heard good things - I;m not sure about the good bad and ugly, just more like bad and ugly. Wont be back. :-(

The course was flooded and the service sucked, but its great for your kids if they want to go skimming. I saw this guy tanning in one of the sand traps and the Marshall just let him finish . There was also like 3 alligators in the pond and the cart girl was feeding them straight from her cart. How am I supposed to putt with those shanties going on.

The website depicts a beautiful golf course. We showed up and thought we were at the wrong place. Fairways were burnt to a crisp, and just in terrible condition. The greens were pretty sandy and in sad shape. On a positive note the staff was very friendly. I would not recommend this course for $50+ per round.

The greens on my vacation were said to be aerated. However, they looked more diseased to me. They did give me a $10 discounted rate, but in the end, I wished I had chosen somewhere else. Putting was ridiculous. Oh, you can putt they claim, but by those standards, you can putt on the parking lot too.

Was in PCB a couple of weeks ago. I had an opportunity to play Hombre one day. I got paired up with a couple of great guys, and really enjoyed the Bad and the Ugly courses. Liked it so much, I played it again a couple of days later. Great staff, service, and golf course.

The course is always clean. The bar and grill area is great for grabbing lunch before playing the back 9. They have 3 separate 9-hole areas called The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Play all 3 for a round that will challenge skilled golfers and accommodate others.

See Hombe has a few bad reviews on greens, fairways, and rude staff!? I am expieanced in turf maintance. Really would love to move to the beach. Currently working at Tartan Pines in Enterprise, AL. It looks the best it has ever looked! Hearing from me soon.

Most of the staff was friendly. The greens were so heavily sanded my ball left a trail when i putted. Made my son buy a $50 collared shirt. The course wasnt really that nice for such a requirement. 27 holes but only 9 were open.

So happy to report that the Hombre Bad and Ugly are in great condition. Greens are wonderful, much better than theyve been in years, course overall in very good shape. Very enjoyable round, as challenging as before.

Still my favorite course on Panama City beach. Yeah, its hard and there is water all over the place but the course is always well maintained, the staff is friendly and its just a blast to play.
