Incredibly rude staff. I went with someone who hadnt golfed in a long time, and was giving a few quick pointers before teeing off on the first hole. Mind you that we had waited for 5 minutes for the person in front of us to play long enough so we could go, but there was nobody waiting behind us at the time. Immediately Lance came running down chiding us saying we needed to speed it up. We had been playing for less than 10 minutes and had already teed off the 2nd when Lance sent someone up to tell us again we needed to speed it up. Again, there was nobody immediately behind us. At that point, it ruined what we had hoped would be an enjoyable time playing golf for the first time in a long while. Aside from that, the golf course itself was in a nice condition. But the behavior of the staff was inexcusable.

Indian Trails is the quintessential municipal golf course. From the fairway grass that is the same strain as your lawn to the 96 yard #16, this course has it all! While I.T. is obviously not the finest course in the city - it is decently maintained (great improvements over the past 5 years) and somewhat challenging (there is a fair variety of holes). This is a great course that is very "Grand Rapids". A favorite of learners, families, and seniors because of the relaxed atmosphere and low greens fees. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to have a fun day of golf. Also, the clubhouse recently got its liquor license! So, what are you waiting for? Head on down to Indian Trails and have a great time.

I called to set up a tee time at a different course. The course was polite and told me that they had a league going on so I found this course. I set up a tee time for 4:16. When my partner and I got to the clubhouse they told us to start on the back because the front was playing really slow and congested. We made the turn to play the front and found ourselves to be stuck behind a womens league. It was over a 20 minute wait for us to play. On the other side the course isnt that great, but its not extremely bad. I would play this course again as long as there wasnt a league that day.

Im really happy with the good course. Although this course is very short from the tips, the rough will penalize you. The fairways always leave a clean lie and the greens are quick and true. Most of the greens are postage stamps, but be sure to stay below the hole. I dont like that they dont allow carts in the parking lot, but its small and a short walk anyway. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely be coming back. Loved their "play all you can before dark" special with a cart.

I have noticed that some of the posts are several years old, I must say regarding the greens that they are some of the best in the Grand Rapids area. Granted that some negative posts about slow play are true, however whenever you have leagues at any course the play will be substantially slow, you are warned ahead of time by the clubhouse staff when you are signing in. The course is in the best condition I have ever seen it. Come and see it for yourselves, you will enjoy your day.

The staff were friendly, and the course was well kept. That being said, the cart trail was in poor repair and the course was boring. Just essentially down and back for nine holes. The rental clubs I used were horrible with no driver. In their defense I am a lefty but I think they still should have had some clubs that were in a better state. More expensive than other courses in the area which made it even less worth it to me. Would not recommend.

The prices are low and the course is easy. Its pretty short and interesting. Located by a busy road, a school, and a graveyard. The course can get pretty congested with novice golfers but if you go there expecting that then you wont be too disappointed. I like it. Its on okay course.

Just passed by the golf course on the highway and a golf ball came flying at my car and dented the hood. Went into the clubhouse to report it and they said it happens sometimes, just like hitting a rock. Maybe some fencing would be appropriate.

Worst customer service I have ever seen. The staff treated me terrible and they wouldnt take tee times on a busy Saturday, they said get in line but its an hour wait. Just terrible policy, I will never attempt to play here again.

Passive aggressive and rude people who pout while you finish the hole, ride you all day, and refuse to play through when you attempt let them pass. And the Club house guys a jerk.

Great practice facility, rivals those of local private clubs. Course itself is nothing special but a good place to go for a quick round. However, usually very budy.

Love the changes. The course is in great shape. The only negative is they let way to many singles and doubles out that end up pushing a normal foursome.
