We have played here twice in the last 2 weeks. I was excited to go back today after a great experience last week. I went into the clubhouse with my husband and I was caught off guard how rude the lady was at the counter. He was going out of his way to be nice to her and it was like talking to a wall. He had bought me a glove and I was concerned of the size of it, so I went back in and tried on different sizes. The lady at the counter seemed to be annoyed by it and said to me "it should be tight, just not cutting off your circulation" I just said ok and would keep the glove he had originally bought. While I was looking at gloves the phone rang and she seemed extremely annoyed just by the ring of it. I didnt think anything of it until she was pulling the phone away from her ear (as the obvious customer was talking on the other end) and rolling her eyes huffing and puffing in the process. It seemed to be such an inconvenience for her to even answer the phone. Completely turned off by her and the golf course after her negative attitude.

It took over 5 hours to play. The tee times are at 7 minute intervals which means the course is too crowded. We waited on every shot on the front nine and on the 9th hole the ranger told us we had to pick up the pace while we were waiting for the group in front of us to clear the green. Not sure how we were supposed to pick up the pace without hitting into the group in front of us. The ranger was also very rude at times, sitting next to the tee while we were teeing off, eating chips and making a lot of noise with the chip bag. The greens and lay out were nice and we would play it again except for the very long round. Not worth the aggravation when there are many more good courses to play in the Bradenton/Sarasota area.

Excellent course. Challenging yet playable. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is my local course and I play here often. Conditions are usually really nice with some of the nicest greens in the area. This course is long- playing from the proper tees will make for a more fun experience especially for higher handicappers. I play to a 10 handicap and usually score about 5 strokes above my average on this course from the blue tees- meaning it is slightly more difficult than the slope rating would indicate. This is also the home of the monsterous alligator made famous by the viral youtube video! Come see if you can find him

One of two county owned courses. Buffalo Creek is the better of the two. Greens were updated last year and in general the course condition is good at the cost to play point of view. Even with the daily heavy rainfall the drainage is good enough to allow 90 degree cart travel. This is one of the longer courses in the area with back tees playing over 7000 yards. Mens tees run around 6400 yards and seniors under 6000 yards. The course also has forward tees for junior golfers. Check out YouTube for the video of the monster Gator the is the course "mascot". Heard that a number of the old giants have been relocated .

This was absolutely by far the worst experience at a golf course I have had! The woman at the counter is an absolute witch, the starter was couldnt even point out the first hole. The course was sopping wet and it hasnt rained in 2 months. We ended up turning around at hole 3 when we couldnt even get to the putting green because of the mud and they want $40 to play 18 holes? Give me a break!

Great looking course. Greens are amazing after the repair which I think was over a year ago. Friendly and helpful staff. Starter could be just a little more diligent in checking peoples tee times to make sure they move along and dont crowd the 1st tee, makes things a little slow. Other than that, very nice experience and a nice view to enjoy while playing. Cold beer available inside.

Nice little public course at a great price. We paid just $15.99 for 18 holes with a cart. Greens were good and the grass on the fairways consistant. We took a high handicapper with us and he loved the fact that the course was open with generous fairways and not many other players. Friendly staff and a cold beer in the clubhouse made it a memorable day!

The course is in decent shape. I like the set up with parking, club house and driving range. Really like that it is long. Price is a little high for this course, considering what you can get for your money at this time here in Florida. Mostly I like it because it is long, especially from the back tees. Shop is poor.

I golf this course a lot during the winter months, very well maintained course, and not very far from Ellington Mall. For the price this is a great course, only complaint is they book tee times too close to each other, 7 minutes apart, gets backed up some times, otherwise it is well worth every $$ they charge. I loved the course, great layout and well maintained. But the people running it are awful, we waited almost 30 minutes for a cart. It was overbooked so we waited almost another 20 minutes just for the first tee to clear. We had a 230 tee time and only got 12 holes in...for 40 bucks with a deal, not what I expected.
