I really dont know how this club has any reputation of anything good. I went there with my girlfriend and 2 of her lady friends, and it was one of their birthdays. We got there around 1130. The bouncers were rude, not letting people in so that they could take pictures of the fake line they formed so that the club looks more "happening" than it is. We get in, and the security guard shoves my girlfriend twice because she didnt see the person to the left she was supposed to hand money to. (The ladies I am with are a group of professional women might I add: nurses and pilots). She let it go. We get in a few more feet before the security guard pushes her twice more. Again, we let it slide, attributing it to the "chaos" they created at the front door. We get in, get some drinks, and the bar is disgusting. I have been to worse places than Vain, but those places have managed to keep a cleaner bar. It was sopping wet and sticky, dripping onto the vomit covered floor. We continue this adventure, making our way to the "dance floor" which is a small section of ground that acts as a pass from one side of the club to the other, but is so SMALL that there is barely any room to dance due to the push and shove of security and people dancing. The majority of the bar is taken up by "VIP" sections which are little seating areas that are over priced for such a small section to be squeezed into with other "VIP" sectionists. Around 0130 the lady friend whose birthday it was tripped, and the security guards flipped out saying she was drunk and needed to leave. I explained to them that I needed to pay the bill and gather everyone up to just give me a second, because I wasnt going to argue about whether she was drunk or not. (You dont argue with men who believe they have power, and are willing to put their hands on you thinking there are no consequences) They continue to try picking her up (WITH NO REASON TO DO SO) where she is saying, "I can walk, take your hands off of me." I had to stop that because he was teetering on assaulting a nurse. So, I walk over, explain I will walk her out, and that he needs to take his hands off of her. He did. We get out the door, where they revoke everyones wristband for their "conduct" which made no sense, since only one person tripped and was considered intoxicated. We werent arguing. When asked to get water for her so she didnt get dehydrated, we were met with opposition. My girlfriend who is a nurse spoke up, and finally they got her some. Overall this night was terrible for someone to have to endure on their birthday, the management is terrible, and the guards are power tripping little boys because they arent successful in any other aspect of their life, and will never have power anywhere else. This place is not anything its hyped up to be.

The Vain Night club has the potential to be a more sophisticated establishment. I heard about the place on the radio and was excited to go to a place that did not seem to cater to that younger less mature crowd. The building seems big enough but a few bad experiences could turn a soar eye for visitors to Orlando. For example during my first visit, they closed the second floor where the second bathroom was located. Eventually they opened it up but imagine not being able to use the bathroom! I explained the situation to a bouncer who escorted me out. Fortunately, the same bouncer remembered me and helped me get back in. The bartenders all smiled a lot which made me feel very welcome. During my third visit, The Vain made it rain which was a cute little draw. However, that moment was ruined when I encountered a obscure short guy with a broom who out scurried me to pick up the floating rain of dollar bills. Hired, obviously to pick up the trash, the human vacuum cleaner whipped his way through the dark crowd picking up the money. I looked at him strange and he returned the look. What a tacky moment. I did score $5.00 and I was proud of it. The architectural layout and overall decor evokes the feeling of being in a warehouse. After my third time there, I can honestly say that I might go again for the free drinks before 10 and the free entry but I am pretty sure that I would be ready to leave not soon after. In summary, The Vain night club is just another club feeding from the hip-hop generation. I cant promise that your experience as your favorite club will be a consistently good one but I will say "try it for yourself, get there early, and be prepared to walk around a lot because the dance floor is pretty small.

THE ONLY REASON I am giving this club 1 STAR is because of their security. Clearly this is a widespread issue in the club because the other few reviews I read mentioned this. They cannot be more rude and this club will end up like all the others in Orlando - a dump that no one wants to go to. We were there for Steve Aoki and let me start by saying it was under 45 degrees that night, with the wind it felt like it was 30! We stood outside for over an hour while the guy at the door took his sweet time to let people in. Every noise that came from inside he stopped and looked back, every person that walked down the street hed stop and talk to them meanwhile we are all freezing in line missing the party inside. Inconsiderate to the extreme. Then we walked in and within minutes we were getting shoved around by security. I dont mean bumped onto, or pushed, I mean security maliciously shoves patrons. They walk around pushing people around trying to get through. One of my friends had the air knocked out of her because security shoved her so hard, she fell over a couch and hit her ribcage on people who were sitting down. They grab you and push you around like they were told to do so, because I find it hard to believe that in the 2 hours I was there, I was coincidently pushed around by security every few minutes. Plus if you act a little drunk, or if you get a little friendly, they grab you by your legs and arms and carry you out. I saw that happen twice. Its outrageous. Like another review says... "Give trash a little of power and they abuse it". The club is nice and the show was awesome, but I will NOT be back and If you are ok with being shoved around by rude cocky 7 foot tall black guys, go for it!

Usually I dont write reviews, but there was a great deal of false advertising regarding the Ty Dolla $ign "performance" and I will likely never return to this nightclub. First, this was a ticketed event, but even buying VIP tickets did not grant any special access to VIP areas or bars within the establishment, unlike a VIP ticket with a similar price point would have provided at another nearby venue. Second, Ty Dolla $ign didnt make his appearance until around 2pm, and when he did there was no "performance" but rather a 20 minute appearance where he grabbed the mic and drunkenly spoke while his songs were played in the background by the same DJ who had already been playing all night. Beyond this, Ty Dolla $ign was in no shape to perform, let alone appear in front of the crowd, and while I realize that Vain has no control over the sobriety of their performers when they arrive, it would have been wise of them not to allow him to drink and use drugs on stage to further his intoxication. I am a huge fan of Ty Dolla $ign and I have no problem with people or performers "turning up", but I do have a problem with false advertising on Vains part. If Vain intended for Ty$ to have such a short and lackluster stint onstage from the start, as it appears that they did, then they should have advertised it as an "appearance" rather than a "performance" and they should not have been selling "VIP" tickets for twice the price that didnt include any better of an experience than paying at the door. This kind of lying to customers and the brazen disregard of my concerns by the staff within during my stay makes this experience my first and last time at Vain Nightclub.
