All the staff working at the club were very attentive and made me feel like they appreciated that I was golfing there. While the practice facility was fairly well used, it was definitely adequate for warming up to play a round of golf. The practice tees were fairly worn. The practice greens putted consistent with the course greens. I cant say that the course was in great condition. Some holes were spot on and on some holes the fairways were burned. For the most part, the greens were in good condition. I paid $99 for my round of golf. My biggest concern was that the pace of play was brutal. I walked off the course after 13 holes and after three hours and 15 minutes of painfully slow play. According to the GPS system, had I continued to play, my round would have taken over six hours. Six hours! When I returned to the clubhouse, I spoke with the manager. He was surprised to learn that I had been on the course that long. He asked me if I had seen a player assistant. I told him that I had not seen anybody on the course policing the pace of play. He apologized and said that he would review the issues with the staff. He gave me a discount on my round of golf of 50%. He said that if I came back to play another round he would do something about the price. This is why I give this course one star. In my opinion, he should have completely removed the cost of the round from my account and should have comped me for another round of golf for such a painful experience. If I had played a 4 1/2 to 5 hour round of golf I could understand a 50% discount. However a six hour plus round of golf is inexcusable. Im not sure if any other course wouldve done anything differently. However, in a competitive environment, you stand out by showing your customers you can do better than the competition. Thats how you keep people coming back- hopefully for a faster round than six hours.

First off, I am only leaving a comparison review from where the course was last year when I played it. For me, I think the course now is very underwhelming. Last year when I played, the greens were amazing. The course was well maintained and the staff and facilities were amazing. I kept thinking to myself that there was a lot of sand on the course, but I figured it was for good reason. THIS year when I played it, the greens are way to slow. I understand that they are young and new, but still, takes a huge part of the course away from it. Also, a ton of bunkers were removed, which has made this course beyond easy. Im no pro, but I should not be able to shoot 72 on a course after not swinging a club for 3 months, from the tips. Not a fan of one of the new holes, 13 I believe, (short par 4). Just to easy and looks completely out of place on this course. However, the course was maintained very well still though. It looked amazing. The staff was still great, the facilites, also great and the front 9 is still a beautiful track and well worth the play.

The destruction of a gem. Shingle Creek is still home of some of the best hospitality in the Orlando area, and I would like to extend a special thank you to the staff as they are the only pleasant thing that remains at the golf course. Once my second favorite golf course in all of central Florida Shingle Creek has been absolutely destroyed. Do not waste your time. It should be closed until the renovations are finished. Sodded fairways, greens ran at a 6 or 7 today, and putt putt like contouring on the greens. Absolute fail. Id rather see another hotel built on top of this course than play it ever again, and I would not play it if offered payment to play.

This is a decent course with new greens with nice variation and tee boxes - but there is still construction going etc.etc.. Also, they tried to charge me $120 when they had told our group it would be between $70-$80. They argued for a while before saying "oh, theres a guest rate $79+tax etc..." The service is VERY high touch from the bag drop to cart return etc - nice guys but overdone a bit..I dont enjoy being fleeced. Would not return to this course. The grounds are nice but the hotel rooms are old. There are lot of better options in Orlando area.

Took my boyfriend to A Land Remembered for his birthday. The staff was so accommodating and made sure everything was perfect for his special night. The food was delicious and we will certainly be back to check out their other restaurants. As locals, I havent stayed there, but the property is gorgeous and is a good distance from other buildings so you dont feel like your in a crowded resort area even though you are close to plenty of things to do! I highly recommend A Land Remembered steakhouse for a wonderful dining experience.

The golf course was in good condition but not worth the fee charged. Other courses in the Orlando Market are in better condition and cost less to play. The staff was helpful but no consideration to removing the cart path only ban in the afternoon was considered by the professional staff. The superintendent was gone so no one wanted to make a decision despite sunny skies and 30 mile an hour winds drying the fairways out. Play Grand Cypress or Falcons Fire first.

Just finished our round in about 4 hours. This was our 5th course this week 3/31/2016 which included the Waldroff Historia. My husband and I both agreed it so far is top on our list. The course conditions were fantastic especially the greens. They were fast with little ball marks. The staff was excellent especially the guys up top. Dont hesitate to play.

My experience was destroyed when the course manager tried to explain how someone hitting their ball into me. I was only 200 yds out and visible from the tee box as the other golfer decided to hit his tee shot at my group. It was sad to learn that another golfers ball was more valuable than the my safety and etiquette of golf.

Nice place. A bit pricey, if it wasnt on my employers dime I wouldnt go here just because it is out of my vacation budget. Having said that...unbelievably friendly hospitality from all restaurants and hotel staff. Go see Steve at the Catails Pool bar. He is the man and will take care of your needs with fast flare.

Great course. From the time we pulled the car up the staff took great care of us, The course was in great shape and the greens were very readable and true. As a visitor from Canada we are not used to getting treated so well for this price. We would definitely return on our next trip,
